| Ok, I've just driven the 936 and what a massive improvement, much more stable, no more understeer into snap oversteer no more driving on a knife edge, I'm already a second quicker at Asus and 5 sec faster at Hockenhein .One small problem, I'm not driving it any more. Good job though guys. _________________ | |

| I must say, after the Avus race and my swap to the Porsche 936C, I've never driven this car before until the physics update. Holy shi* I love this car! And I must say, I'm pretty surprised that I'm second (at the time) concerning hotlaps | |

| Just a quick FYI, the HSO server is offline at the moment. I will post here when it is back up again. _________________ | |

| You are, they won't last the race if you put them on now (i hope). _________________ Join the current HSO team as we move to ISO in 2020!http://historicsimracing.123.st/t4220-important-announcement-for-the-2020-season | |

Qualy Tires last around about 5-6 laps until they are below 80% health (as far as I can tell from my driving with the 936C)

| I've only done a session at Mainz-Finthen to get a feel for the car and get a setup done. Although the cirucit isn't the perfect circuit to try out the new physics (as it was high-speed instability that was the biggest issue as far as I could understand the discussions going on), my view so far is limited. The car seems to have more weight to it which makes it feel more stable. I can't really say that it felt much different in any other regard, still the same speed as before, maybe a tenth or so quicker at Mainz, but otherwhise it would seem to be the same CK5 I've driven for most of the season. The CK5 may have been one of the lesser changed cars in the mod but I wouldn't know as I wasn't part of the team. At another circuit I may have a different view though but for now, that is what I've found _________________ 2019 | 1996 British Touring Car Championship | 2019 | 1995 Super Tourenwagen Cup | If you are scared entering a corner, you are pushing to hard, if you are bored entering a corner, you aren't pushing enough, if you hit it perfectly, it will be better than love | |

| Try it at Zolder Or try the new one and then go back and try the old physics _________________ | |

| Yes Michael, EMKA was a small privateer team in 1983 who entered only 2 races that season, Silverstone, which was a glorified test session for Le Mans and Le Mans itself. The fact the car runs with no Dunlop decals on their car suggests that they just bought the basic hard tires needed to complete the races. Plus at Le Mans, the aim for them was to make their fuel consumption last as much as possible, so they would only need hard tires that lasted a long time.
I am now in the same position with the Alba, i had all 3 compounds, but now i only have hard tires too.
Too add to, do not worry about being at a disadvantage, we have made the soft tires wear much more realistically, especially if the driver is hard on them.
I'm sure Richard Wilks will also be able to add more info on the subject too. _________________

| Indeed Richard summarized it perfectly, softer compounds were rarely used, and it was a bit hit and miss in terms of making them last, so most teams, specially privateer ones, only used the hards. _________________ Join the current HSO team as we move to ISO in 2020!http://historicsimracing.123.st/t4220-important-announcement-for-the-2020-season | |

| I took the CK5 for a spin around Bathurst (one of my preffered testing circuits for faster cars). I had a nice time blasting around the circuit and found a couple of things when running laps. At high speed the CK5 is more stable, more controllable. I suppose that is down to the body/wings now actually producing downforce. It's a pain in slow corners since it, at least feels like, has more weight to it now than before, before it was a fairly easy car to haul around turns. On power it's more planted, you can still get it sideways if you really "muck" about but generally it's very nice to the driver. Only difference with the brakes is that I know need 47/53 or more rearward brake balance to not lock the fronts, so technically the brakes brakes less but are maybe a bit more consistent Overall, a nice improvement, though hard to discern without running many laps on a known circuit for me, to the car. Especially the fact that the car now doesn't immedietly throw you sideways if you put just a bit of throttle on, that was the biggest issue of the CK5, especially out of slower turns like the AVUS hairpin _________________ 2019 | 1996 British Touring Car Championship | 2019 | 1995 Super Tourenwagen Cup | If you are scared entering a corner, you are pushing to hard, if you are bored entering a corner, you aren't pushing enough, if you hit it perfectly, it will be better than love | |
