this will be an interesting race for me. this is day 3 and im on about 6hs sleep (in 3 2hr naps) and nothing but plowing snow in between. hopefully i can keep at least 1 eye open till the end ;P

rFactor kept crashing on me, and when I turned everything to medium, got loads of draw errors.
A blessing in disguise me thinks, as I had not spent enough time on this mod especially without virtual mirrors. (Aspect ratio all wrong) And with such a short track and being 5 seconds off the pace

Probably some skin or model which was corrupt, causing all these CTD's. It only ever happened when I was close behind another car.

Anyway, I'm quite happy with my driving this week. Great car, great track. Been close to front, and could keep Jose honest during the race, until I CTD'd again. Reminds me of when I was really manic about iRacing a few years ago. Practiced and practiced for hours, and was really focused. I got the same feeling today.

short race for me

After i missed the "lights" at start, i needed a little to get good laptimes. A few laps later i stuck behind Yannick and missed to breaking point up the big hill and hit the only tree on the left Hope you guys had a better race

I missed the grid, I started from pit. It's the first time I tested that.
It released me after 25 sec. So my goal became to catch the back of the pack.
It was nice, alone on the road, without risk to bump a guy in the firsts turns.
I crossed some drivers who were waiting for me in the sand.
I scrounged some places until rfactor crashes and let me alone, sad in front of my screen.

We have to invistigate the causes of these multiple crash. Sorry guys for that inconvenient.

Or, on second thought, more likely the track. Tried to use accelerate time through some AI races on some other tracks with huge fields... no problem then at least.

Sorry Matthias i didnt realize you were along side, and when you got in front of me, i failed to slowdown or get away from your car in time... it was totally my fault.

Not that my race lasted a whole lot longer. After that, some car that was faster but was a lap down was hounding me, and when i moved aside to let him by, the car lost grip and i hit a bank. Repairs, i resumed, only to see the engine blow a few laps later. No surprise there, i was abusing the thing to try to keep up.

Well i guess i am done with this mod, the tires get on my nerves and made a simple track feel like a nightmare to drive. Congrats to all the finishers!

Incredible! My first race, and I finished 7th!!
But also Congratulations to Yves, who won this really nice race!!
Dammit, I made a big big mistake in the last lap, I was at Turn 4 and I threw the car into the wall
Then I finished the race without front and read wings and with a puncture in the right rear tire!
I apologise to everyone I somehow interrupted on their lap to the pits because it was really REALLY difficult to control this damaged car!

You are being very polite calling me a driver at this track.

Moved over for someone in the corkscrew and ended up losing it into the wall. Long repair and me not remembering to shut off the engine almost burned up the engine. Finished with 45%.

Sorry to whichever leader hit me in the rear. I was staying straight so the two of you could pass on the fast line. The guy in front made it by, I suspect you saw me too late as you were right under the guy in front of you. I went for a wild ride and just missed the spot off track that kills you via a black hole.

Surprised at the body count. Got 9th and was one lap away from 8th.

Nothing, everything was great for me , good start , quickly put me in first position , I could get some distance in the lead, riding very comfortable , everything was perfect until .... rfactor was closed unexpectedly.
In qualifying and I spend several times and seeing the recommendation to lower graphics did so .

Shame really end like this since I was enjoying a lot with the model and track




Pues nada , todo iba fantástico para mi , arranque bien , me puse rápidamente en primera posición, pude coger un poco de distancia en cabeza , rodando muy cómodo , todo iba perfecto hasta que....rfactor se cerro inesperadamente .
ya en calificación me paso varias veces y al ver la recomendación de bajar graficos asi lo hice.

La verdad una pena terminar así ya que estaba disfrutando muchísimo con el modelo y la pista

Oh yeah... I saw it man, really bad way to get a DNF... I was right behind you and as you went off the track I was like "What the heck? "

I declare myself The Asshole of the Race  I messed up in the third lap and very nearly got stuck in the drainage behind Corkscrew. But that wasn't the biggest problem. Later i messed up exit from the penultimate corner and had no choice but to go through pit lane. To make it even worse, i wasn't sure about pit speed limit, so i kept it on 100kph. Stupid meeee I lost at least those five seconds that separated me and Yves at the end. And to make sure that i really screw up this one, i had a half spin in the very last corner of the race. Yeah, that was fun  Grats to Yves, we drove totally identical lap times, i tried very hard to chase you, but i had no chance. Excellent driving, Yves

I look forward to the next race. I love the American way of fun - take an old F1, stick a huge V8 into it, put huge tyres on it, top it with huge wings and let's have huge amount of fun, brilliant
