1978 World Drivers' Championship - Entry List

We have taken into account consistency too. You have finished 87% of all your races, others are a lot less, and you are quick, you have shown that many times while racing here

And let us stress again that THIS CHOOSING IS PROVISIONAL and intended to allow people to test less cars and make selection and assigning easier.

Inside each group there are also some cars faster or slower, which will be considered when assigning the final car, and also being a regular here or not will play a role.

There are not enough cars for everybody, bear that in mind.

The Williams is a massive favourite but the other 2 are very equal in which I prefer over the other

Keep in mind that with BS, you start the year with an M23, but then upgrade to an M26

When looking at the results of the season, I am a bit surprised that Tyrrell isn't a tier 1 team(1 win!).

Meanwhile, Arrows results-wise finished on par with Williams.

As for Rebaque, it's justified as it was mostly down to the driver

The Arrows was a very quick car, it was just unreliable, there was many races that Patrese was running with the leaders. The Tyrrell is a funny one, yes one week it would be up there, but then the next it would be qualifying near the back

Patrese should have won in South Africa, he was leading easy until engine failure.

Testing / Car booking for full time drives is officially open  

Driver groupings are in the table below; you can now test cars in your particular group.  Please list three teams from your group that you would be interested in driving for, in order of preference.  Again, there are more drivers interested than there are full time drives.  If you feel that you may only be able to run a limited schedule in 2016, please indicate that in a post.  This will help us determine who should get full time drives and who should race one off drives during the year. Car booking will close on December 27th, and car assignments will be announced by January 3rd.
