Anyone else was dissapointed? It could have been so much more, with all that money and good actors ... It has no originalty, feels like a repetition of episode IV

Uh, guys....
first, I tryed very hard mr. Wilks, but I didnt get what you was saying... sorry.
And what to say about E7?? I cant be objective, since SW universe is part of me, I watched the IV when I was 4, and ever since that it is something that is beside me all the time. Not in that geek way, but again, Im very attracted to everything with SW topic, in any shape.. PC games, card games, board games, models, figures, etc...
Since eVII is complete eIV copy, it is a bit disapointing, but after ROTJ it is the firs one that made me feel like a kid again, and Im very happy about it... yet, I need to watch it few more times to arrange my feelings, but for now, it is great, but again, far far from eV...
So, to be short, I expected more, I was affraid to get less then got. Its ok for now

Please, don't spoil if you speak about episode 7. I'm waiting the release of the bluray in order to watch the movie religiously, alone in the room.

Oh, dont worry. I suggest you watch it in the theatre, and in 3D too, it is best 3D movie I ever watched, and I dont like 3D at all :D

I stopped to frequent the theatres for differents reasons, since some years now. And it was before that the 3D is democratized. So as Denver, the last dinausor, I never saw a 3D movie.

3D is useless, they reworked "Titanic" to 3D ... and they still didn't see the iceberg and hit it

Maybe it was just because a 3D iceberg reaches further?

Very disapointed too, to say the least. You get that 'first trilogy' feeling which is cool, but the rest is just a copy of episodes IV and V. The second trilogy had its flaws but at least it was telling something new.

I did enjoy the film, but after I walked out, I started to reflect on how much of it was borrowed from Episode IV. So many references and plot elements reused. So on that basis, it didn't really break any new ground. On the other hand, it was 1000 times better than the prequels.

One of my students last semester said he hadn't seen any of them.
Honestly, Episodes IV, V and VI are classics.

My GF hasn't seen them too, but I don't want her to see the atrocious remakes of the first trilogy ^^

Are you referring to the re-releases of IV, V and VI with updated special effects?

I didn't know their names. And more, I think nobody know their names in France. For the frenchies, they are " the 2 olds from muppets"
