I gave up my AR4, so you can take it, if you like.

You can race Martins car if you wish Alberto, But if you want a car for the season, you can have Ben's Alba

No it's OK Richard it was pure coincidence that I am available, and I don't think I will be able to do another race on wednesday any time soon. This is my favourite british track, so I wanted to take the opportunity.

Well gave it a try but not enjoying driving today, had no practice before and see me out of the loop completely for such a long race. Have fun

 It's a great pleasure to win my class on a track that i know well all the way to my TOCA days!

I got a good setup, and was very confortable in the Mazda. Got the pole (Richard, my stats don't have my pole because you put Vadim in front of me on the grid) and got away to a good start. The class A cars gave me a really hard time though, missed the chicane a couple of times because they were creating an immense fog on their braking zones before me (lower your brake force, really) and in a misunderstanding with Richard, he hit me when putting me a lap down and i was lucky to resume with not so much damage and be able to fend off Alessio in the end. I took it easy most of the race, just trying to manage the gap, but still had a good cushion fortunally!

Alberto,you should have stayed, the Lola with it's higher downforce would have gave us hell in this track.

Congrats to class A winner and all the finishers!

That is one of the issues and we are aware of it. It will be corrected in due course.

Well that start was very confusing, found that Vadim was gridded up ahead in 8th which caused difficulties for me and Philippe because Vadim I think realised he was misplaced so slowed down. Both of us were unsure whether we should pass him so ended up getting held up at the start. Didn't make much of a difference because I ran on my own for the entirety of the race, unable to catch Richard who was flying in the 727C. I overfuelled the car by around 30 laps, so that didn't help much but I can't make many excuses-Richard was faster by more than a second in quali.

Pleased to take second, still means I'm towards the top of the standings so need to hope I can run faster at Silverstone, which I reckon will suit the 737C which is I think the fastest in a straight line in the class?

Shame there were no Lola's, Alberto I think you would have been matching my pace in race trim.

After my disaster at Silverstone I was determined to get a good result here, luckily Donington suited the Alba better than the Rondeau or the URD.


I made a mistake at the beginning which put me behind Jose, Richard and Mate, but after some nice fights I managed to reach the lead again and slowly open a gap.
From then on I just kept a confortable pace until the end.

Grats to Richard for his win and to the rest of both podiums.

See ya at Silverstone which I reckon is gonna be tough with my lower straight line speed.

Bon, j'ai à peu près réussi à m'approprier cette Rondeau et surtout à la régler, quoiqu'elle ne réagisse pas beaucoup aux modifications de réglages. Je pense que c'est pour toutes les voitures de ce mod : je m'étais déjà fait la réflexion à Sebring avec la Lancia LC2 que j'avais affublée d'un set totalement irréaliste pour qu'elle daigne correctement tourner et freiner ! et pour la Rondeau, c'est pareil.

Bref, qualif. satisfaisante, 7ème, je suis à ma place, ça roule vite devant.
Bon départ, mais moins bon que Jan qui profite, pour prendre un super départ, de la place vide devant lui laissée libre par Pascal qui se vautre dans le tour de lancement (une fois dans l'avant-dernier virage et une autre dans le dernier !)
Jan a un sacré moulin (il faudra se méfier de lui à Silverstone !), je vais rester coincé pas mal de temps derrière lui. Mais la Courage n'est pas aisée à piloter, je me dis qu'il fera bien une erreur à un moment... ce qui arrive après une quinzaine de tours, et je passe. Heureusement, car François commençait à remonter sacrément derrière ! A lui maintenant de s'arsouiller avec Jan, ce qui me permettra de prendre un peu le large.

Le reste de ma course sera plutôt fluide : personne devant (ils sont trop loin), derrière François roule fort, je me concentre pour conserver les quelques secondes sur lui jusqu'à l'arrivée, pas mécontent de ma soirée !

Bravo aux deux vainqueurs et aux finisseurs !

Ça promet d'être sympa dans les grandes lignes droites de Silverstone !

Yeah sorry guys, I somehow stupidly believed that the race was shorter, on the national version of the track. I had not turned a single lap before getting into the server, and I found out just then that it was going to be much longer than expected and I would have to be struggling with the horrible understeer in the car on the extra part of the track, where it is more noticeable. So I preferred to let it go instead of being a problem on track for the faster drivers.

Woohoo,  first Podium for me, the Mazda 717C was really good at the race, but I had no chance to match the lap times of Alessio and Richard.

Very good and fair fight with Alan Forster in the first laps, it surprised me, that I could manage to gain a gap after I overtook him.

The rest of the race I tried to get closer to Raul, and luckily I managed to get him at the last lap, man he was really struggling at the brakes

I hope there will be more Class B Cars at the next race, so more battles will be possible.

+1, hopefully on other tracks the Lola + 717C will be a closer match for the 727C/737C
