| 2015 HSO Gold StarAs we are a few days away from announcing the first Open of the year, this is the time to introduce our new Gold Star award which will be based on the results of all the Open Events held each season. The award is based on the illustrious BRDC Gold Star one and will use a points system similar to the one used by the BRDC in the 1950s. Championship RulesAll drivers competing in an HSO Open Event are elligible for points, provided they comply to the rules applied in each race. Points will be awarded on a sliding scale depending on the length of the race ( see below). In the event of a race run on a two (or more) heats aggregate, only the final aggregate results will be taken into consideration for Gold Star points. All results will count at the end of the year (no dropped scores). In the event of a first place points tie at seasons end, the driver with the most wins will be declared Gold Star champion. Unlike other HSO series, a complete schedule of events will not be published early in the year as the nature of Open Events prevents making plans that far ahead. Open Events will continue to be announced as they always have been : one at the time, in no particular order and with irregular gaps between them. Points SystemRace Length | 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | 5th | 0 to 1 hour | 3 | 2 | 1 | -- | -- | 1 to 2 hours | 5 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 1 | 2 to 6 hours | 10 | 8 | 6 | 4 | 2 | over 6 hours | 15 | 12 | 9 | 6 | 3 |

| Sorry for not having answered you earlier François. Open events as such no sorry it won't be possible, as our schedule is pretty packed and we don't want to have an official race on a track that has not been proved fit for online racing. But we can maybe squeeze in some sort of big beta test evening along the lines of Martin's Sebring event earlier this year, during which we could test both tracks at once. When do you think would the tracks be ready for such a test ?
About your 1960s Daytona project, does that include the speedway or just the infield road course ?

| thanks Frank
a big test evening would be great before official release so i aim for the holiday month of July gives me enough time i think to have all 3 tracks ready and with abit luck abit earlier ( June )
Daytona is based on the csgt70 version which we drove in a open event last year using the oval and the infield road, as far as i know the only version exist but a full speedway is always welcome if there is a AIW for cause then i only have to put in the updated textures and create a 60s daytona 500!
the tracks events will be
Riverside: USRRC GT ( Canam layout ) and the Motortrend 500 ( Nascar Layout )
Nurburgring: F1 , ADAC 1000km and ADAC 500 1964 (WET)
Daytona: Continental 2000 km (Daytona 500..........)

| There is a modern Daytona available for rfactor. It was part of The Pits stock car mod. And of course there is the 1963 rfactor nascar mod as well. Not sure if these would be what you are looking for. | |
