*** 2015 HSO SEASON ***

Hi fellow simracers !

The upcoming 2015 season will be the seventh year of existence for HSO, and we thank you for your loyalty. As in the past years, rFactor and its mods will be our exclusive platform for the season. Our racing days remain Wednesday and Sunday nights at Central European Time.

On the rFactor mods side, the famous Touring Car Legends is back and will be used for two of our main scheduled series. The well known mod Historic GT & Touring Cars 1.96 will also be used. For the first time in the HSO history, the CART Factor 1.0 will be the subject of a full championship. The brand new GTPC by Virtua_LM will also take an important place in the schedule. At last (but not least) the Jaguar XJR-15 (by the HSO Modding Team) will be used for some intense racing.

Next to these five mods, the 1973 USAC Mod (also by the HSO Modding Team) is first in line for Open events, including our yearly Indy 500. Depending on how the year goes we may be able to materialize some open ideas we already have.


1971 SCCA Trans-Am

Two dozen of 5.0 pony cars such as the Ford Mustang, the Pontiac Firebird or the Chevrolet Camaro will race side by side with twenty lighter european cars all along the year on 11 american road tracks. Due to the length of each race (around 2 hours) and to the stamina these cars require, drivers will be able to team up. This serie will crown two champions, one for each class.

Simulator : Historic GT & Touring Cars 1.96 for rFactor.
Cars : TA-1 (+2,500cc), TA-2 (2,500cc)
Schedule : 11 races on Sunday nights from February to December.
Race distance : Around 2 hours.

The 1971 SCCA forum will be open Sunday, January 18th. The first race will take place the Sunday, February 8th.

1985 Voitures de Production

Since almost three years the only french race we held annually was the French Formula One Grand Prix. This 1985 Production championship, using the Touring Car Legend mod with another add-on built by the HSO Modding Team, will bring us back to France for the whole schedule. The championship will be held over 13 meetings, with each meeting hosting either a single 35-minutes races or two 25-minutes heats.

Simulator : Touring Car Legends for rFactor.
Cars : Group A Touring Cars
Schedule : 13 races on Wednesday nights from January to June.
Race distance : Two 30 minutes rounds or a 45 minutes race.

The 1985 Production forum will be open the Monday, January 12th. The first race will take place the Wednesday, January 21st.

1998 CART Championship Series

The 1998 CART championship schedule offers three kinds of racing: oval, street and road track. Drivers who will run for the crown will have to master all of them. While the setup and the strategy will be the essential part of oval racing, concentration and accuracy will be the most important for the street circuits. Road track racing will be more close to our previous F1 championships in terms of required qualities, such as endurance and resilience. Add to this the difficulty of these powerful single seaters and you will have a good idea of what you are going to face in this championship!

An important aspect of modern american racing is the yellow flag management. For the first time in HSO history we will sometimes race under full race caution with a safety car. The procedure is entirely autonomus, and will react almost perfectly to the race events. This procedure will be the subject of an explanation chapter in the championship rules. Also there will be a test race for those who have not raced with safety cars before

Simulator : CART Factor 1.0 for rFactor.
Cars : 1998 CART single seaters.
Schedule : 18 races on Sunday nights from January to December.
Race distance : Around 2 hours.

The 1998 CART forum will be open the Monday, January 12th. The first race will take place the January, Sunday 28th.

The details of the GTPC and the Jaguar XJR-15 events will be revealed later.

This year the HSO staff will have the backing of new junior admins: Mike Becnel, Richard Coxon, Alberto Ibanez and Jason White.

Registration at HSO is free and must be made on the forum using your real name. The HSO site will also provide you with all the details on our past, present and futures races.

I red some open events and ideas

2 tracks need to be tested before public release listening to the name Nurburgring ADAC 1000km 1965
and the Continental 2000 km of Daytona 65 (2 hours is enough for me lol )

J'ai installé le HGTC 1.96, mais j'arrive pas trop à savoir dans toute la liste celles qui pourraient éligibles au champ TRANS-AM, ce sont toutes celles qui sont indéxées T/A ?
