It's only just hit me the time commitment involved for this event.

One lap-I can do
two laps-maybe

3,4,5= kids burn down my house and wife files for divorce.....

Are you okay with me participating as long as I can and dropping out when necessary?

I do not wish to disrupt the event or the timing and scoring


Please be frank with me about this-but you can be no other way, right?

"Only" 4 laps thankfully. Not 5. Or whenever you car mates with an immovable object, whichever comes 1st.

In fact we will only do three laps instead of four. I have edited the first topic accordingly.

Main reason is because I'm not sure everybody will be able to cover his four laps in the 2h45mn of the practice session we will use for the race. Those starting last might have troubles doing it which is a bit unfair. It's safer we three laps

 

Question de novice, un plein ne permet pas de faire 3 tours on refuel ou ?

En M3 je dois pouvoir faire 2 tours complets, mais trois ça risque d'être compliqué je pense. Et puis de toutes façons peut-être que ça vaut le coup de mettre un train de pneus neufs à la fin de chaque tour, je sais pas trop ?

Vu que le ravito se fait sur les liaisons, sans perte de temps donc, je pense pas que la question se pose  

Oui faut juste être sur d'avoir assez d'essence pour aller au bout quand même ^^

Pour moi, ravito à la fin de chaque boucle : on répare, on change les pneus, on met 45 litres et c'est reparti !

Bon plan, y'a moyen que je fasse pareil je pense

You ask them politely for a cup of tea then maybe you could chat for awhile about the weather and then if you still have a little spare time on your hands you could always ask them directions to Meadowhall

bah je vais la reposer car je ne comprends pas ta réponse. tu dis que le ravitaillement se fait sur les liaisons ? La je ne saisis pas, comment fais tu pour refueler sur une laision ?

Le ravitaillement se fait tout à la fin du dernier secteur de liaison, c'est à dire juste avant le départ de l'ES1, dans les stands qui se trouvent sur la petite bute à gauche de la piste

Is it daft if i pit at the end of every lap for fuel and new tires? How were strategies last year?

Last year we did two laps the first day and two other laps the following day, so I don't think there was a lot of pit stops. I'm not sure if I'll stop at the end of lap 1, but surely I will at the end of the second one

If you crash out in the 1st lap? Can you join in again in the 2nd lap but with a time penalty since we are doing it in practice?

No sorry, in case of a crash either you can crawl back to the pits to repair, or press "esc" and then your race is over  

Stupid question. So I do not have a chance of screwing up, how long in hours/minutes until the event? Clocks just changed and all. Don't want to be an hour off.
