| The version I tried of the mod had a few cars missing from the real season, like the Scuderia Centro-Sud BRM P57s. It would be nice to have them added to the mod, if only by skinning some works BRMs (and down tuning them a bit ^^). _________________ Thou shalt not train.

I'm a little bit confused by all these patches That was my main problem with the mod there was just too many patches but the latest version that F1sr is using i think is very good ... I Think the guys that worked on the mod where working on a few Official add on cars ... I Agree with Jason the mod does not need the add on skins although i do love the Yamura Honda's that he painted .. _________________ What we do Monday to Friday Keeps us up with the Competition ... | well to brigthen up abit some know me as Flying Dutchman from F1SR and deloped the 91HE mod and its me along with Philrob who are doing the trackpack for the final mod which both are NOT released cause we still work on them.
All i can say the tracks are stock old gpl ones and given to us to make it accurate as possible by study video's and photo' s of the 65 season aswell graphics as physics wise but overal to have a decent 60s track pack that lacked in rfactor and now it comes to its end it's worth to drive rf1 abit longer , but most of our free time burns up to iron out bugs cause those old gpl tracks are litterly a bitch to mod LOL anyway the end is very near
and yes i will put some pictures up soon for you're chaps

| The G5 ! The list looks great, shoud make for a very thorough mod indeed ! Note that the LDS cars were not named Mk1, Mk2, etc. : for instance in 1965 Tingle's 1.5 ALFA powered one was F1/61 (chassis 01), while boss man Serrurier drove one of his two F2/65 models (chassis 09, the second one built) with a 2.0 Climax FPF engine . _________________ Thou shalt not train.

You're right, I got the name wrong :/ I guess I've put that name to better serarch it on Google: if I put in the search box "LDS F1/61" or "LDS F2/65" the only things that pop up are sermons from the Latter Day Saints ("Mormons" in brief)... which really annoys me because of the time loss The Climax Louis used on his F2/65 Was not a 2.0 FPF, but a 1.5 FPF Mk2: the 2-Litre Mk1 was not usable for the rules of the time. It was for the South African national chapionship though, this explains why almost all of the entrants of the non-championship 1965 Rand GP (the last for the 1.5-litre formula) were equipped with engines spacing from 2 litres to 3 litres.

| Yes although the South African Drivers' Championship had switched to 3-litre rules in 1965, one year before FIA F1, the local boys who participated in the 1965 GP of South Africa course had to fit 1,500cc engines in their cars. But except for this race where he failed to qualify Serrurier's car had a 2-litre FPF in the back is what I meant ;)Of course I imagine you have enough work with the 1,500cc cars already to add the burden of Libre cars such as the SA ones ! One of the best source for chassis history on the internet is Allen Brown's Old Racing Cars site. There you can find the race-by-race account of all LDS chassis for instance, and many more of course . _________________ Thou shalt not train.

| Thanks, I didn't know that Frank, now it shouldn't be that hard to find the torque and power values of the FPF 2-litres, it was sooooooo widespread used in it's times For the chassis, since the cars' 3d models are slight modifications of Luigi70's ones (where possible ^^; ), the F2/65 is a Brabham with a widened front grille and an old Cooper's engine cover, while the F1/61 was a blatant ripoff of a Cooper T55 (why bother copying that tin can on wheels, I don't know... ), so I used the T55 model altogether. | |

| Yeh one good thing about some of the Specials of back then - a lot of them were copies of European cars Funny how the work of the craftsmen of motor racing such as Serrurier 50 years ago makes life easier for the 3D craftsmen of 2010s ! A perfect mod would be an almost impossible task anyway as even two Lotus 25s had some differences between them, so ideally we'd need a specific 3D model for every chassis considered ! 2-litre FPFs data should be easy enough to find indeed. A quick look through my files tells me 180 HP @ 6,750 rpm for an earlier 1958 version, and 200 HP @ 7,000 rpm for the 1969 one in Roger Nathan's Astra RNR1 sportscar. Martin and I are too busy working on the HSO 2014 season these days, but once the new championships will have been announced I'm confident I can put on my hands on torque figures if you're still interested . _________________ Thou shalt not train.

| a problem we faced on updates gpl tracks and new tracks chaps a question It seems to be that after we update only visual the tracks for the 65s trackpack the Engine/Fire smoke, and dust effects suddenly disapear ingame or show up very thin like zandvoort/Mexico I tried to call in somehelp but got non the wiser except for telling us to look into the tdf but we all checked it and all seems to be good but still no result by trail and error checking all kind of things but still no result , only result is a month of frustration and headaches! also i figger even new tracks like Grand Canyon doesnt have any smoke / dust effect wich is odd I hope somebody have a clue or answer to this cause we want a sandy dust offroad excursion at zandvoort and building right now a track in the californian desert which absolute need DUST! thanks in advance and hope the best of it | |

| It IS a tdf problem. And since you say that on some tracks it's different, it's because they have different settings in their tdf (I had to fight to explain to some people that it was the problem on the old version of Laguna Seca...). For the fire and stuff, check the end of the file - Code:
-
// Other loose special effects [LOOSE] For the terrain, like tire smoke on the road, or grass dirt, check the lines with - Code:
-
Reaction=tiresmoke ... Reaction=skid ... Find a track in which it works, then copy and past. The values there are explained in the top of the tdf file so you can experiment. _________________ http://newarchive.simjunkies.org/discussion/9582/asj-f1-1982-race-4

It doesn't work because of a slight mistyping in the rfm... gladly SchnelleBasis over at F1-S-R Fixed it for us (as we use GID most of the time, we didn't have a clue ) -Since I'm not allowed to post external links until the trial week expires... someone has to go at F1-S-R and download the new rfm. It's in the League Racing -> F1-S-R F1 65 Vintage league -> "broken" .rfm file - No rfdynhud topic -

| Usually, you know it quickly when the tdf isn't found. If you want to be sure, rename or delete in the tdf the asphalt section, if you can't move, you know you are editing the right file.
I know Phil is experienced, but just in case you don't know, if the tdf is in a parent directory of the gdb, it must be declared like this TerrainDataFile= ../XXX.tdf _________________ http://newarchive.simjunkies.org/discussion/9582/asj-f1-1982-race-4

Ce mod est bien sympa! Très bonne idée de livrer les circuits de l'année 1965 avec le mod!
Est-ce qu'il y a des différences de performances entre les différents châssis?

| If you drive the different cars, you can feel a difference! Yep, performance definately differs - this, as is every mod used by the HSO, is a Historic Edition mod and not a League Edition! | |
