Formula 2 Codasur born in late 1982 as a result of the union of the Formula 2 Mecanica Argentina and its Brazilian counterpart, with the aim of creating a division similar to South American Formula 3, but with self-made mechanical.

Then, between 1983 and 1986, operates more road courses and street visiting countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile and Colombia, with drivers of lots South American countries and other regions, such as Bobby Rahal and Alex Caffi. In 1987, the category takes the FIA F3 regulations, and becomes South American Formula 3, losing the magic of previous years progressively.

The mod will include developing more than 20 cars of the 1985 season, and tracks on the calendar this year as the street of Punta del Este and Mar del Plata, with its own physical developed based on technical information of those cars.

At this time we are painting the skins of the cars that will integrate the mod, if you have pictures of the record or information that you consider valuable to improve our mod, we will gladly receive it, contact us and help us to create a dramatic change!

Yes that's an interesting project  . There seems to be a lot of active modders in South America, good to see that some of them are into historic stuff. Hopefully one day we'll get an Argentina Mecanica Nacional F1 mod as well !

It looks very interesting ! Some big local names were driving F2 cars those days.

Hey, there is actually a Argentina Mecanica Nacional F1 in the making and theres an alpha release. Ill post a link as soon as I get one...

There are a lot of us (modders) here in South America, particulary im very involved in doing tracks (over 100 done already).
