| Hmm..... Frustrating...... BTCC: Hadn't practiced much but had quite a bit of pace to spare as I was fairly close to both Teemu and Ben on Hard tires Race: Had a very good start and blasted bast both Teemu, Alban and Ben and then were pressuring mr Bergmann in the 635 through T1 and 2. Sorry to Ben for closing the door to late at T2, shouldn't have turned in on you but I think it went allright in the end As Christian said, braking after Hangar Straight Alban might have got a bit to brave there as he locked his brakes, almost tipped Christian around but also left me with nowhere to go and I turned in as I did know he was coming and unfortunatly the way we hit sent me left and almost into the barriers. Angry then but it's a racing incident Then a catching game began as I was flying past one or 2 Toyotas, Roy kindly allowed me past easily into the last chicane (thank you very much Roy ) and I had to try a bit harder for the fastest Toyotas. Laurent had an incident at the chicane and I could pass him, we had a little battle and then I followed him as we cleaned up the last Toyotas and caught up to the battling pack of Dave, Matthieu and Joel who had some real touring car battling going on Laurent made a misstake at the end of Hangar and I could slip past and then had a nice little battle with the 2 Escorts and Joel Finally got past them and then it was a question of trying to catch Ben and Teemu with Franck between us to try and get a better position but it was not to be Could take advantage of Franck having an incident at the last lap into the chicane which gave me 11th overall, unfortunate Franck 3rd in class and 11th overall is fine considering the first lap incident Was fun getting back up the field so an enjoyable evening in the end Caterham: For the Caterhams I just tried to stay out of trouble and manged to do so to begin with but unfortunatly had an incident with Christophe which I'm extremly sad that it happened I'm sorry Christophe, locked up after missing my braking point and couldn't do much when that happened Had some great battles with Franck which at least I enjoyed, I hope you enjoyed it as well Franck Thanks for tonight guys, was good fun | |

| BTCC C Class I never drived on this Silverstone configuration, but like I said, feeligs were good from first lap Qualy: very surprised, qualy not's my best point, but Ole can't catch me and I launch first on class (Absolute 18th) Race: I was first, then I tried distinct configuration set to mantain leader and give less options to overtake other drivers and go forward. But I never thought about posibility to fight with B Class cars on this circuit. That hurts my strategy and concentration a bit We launch and I tried to maintain my position, but lot of traffic, Giuseppe overtake me on first turns and we had a fight with Escorts and 2 BMWs on first laps. That's when Ole appears in front side (where are you came from?? you were on backside at launch!). Incredible fast It's funny, the podium is openned for lot of drivers and three of us were fighting and changing positions between Ole, Giuseppe and me Ole made a mistake and went to grass and leave alone to Giuseppe and me in front side of class, continued fighting with B Class cars and stopping for a moments and can't went very far. In a few laps, Ole arrives again and catch us. Incredible again, this man is able to fight with this Levin's to upper class cars After some laps fighting clean and bit to the limit enjoying, I was 3rd and in last chicane I went a bit to grass and made me spin (first mistake on this circuit and costs me very expensive), I directly went to last place and tried to recovery, but on this circuit and with short gears was very hard to caught them I positioned in front of Simon and Stephen and tried to catch Raynald but was impossible. But in last lap, on last chicane I don't know how, Raynald made a mistake and went to grass giving me the 4th place First race I enjoyed fighting positions in most laps of race, that's very funny when you have fast and clean drivers with similar driving levels I think signature is wrong, because I did Top5, but not podium this time Thanks to all HSO admins, grid drivers and congrats to all class winners Maybe I make a video soon with some position battles... See you on track | |
