Yes it's written in the rules but we don't ask the drivers to show some ID before being allowed to race.
As Franky said, we know there are a few members not using their real names (sometimes its totally different or sometimes only slightlly modified), some of them even explained why in private (most of the time for privacy), and we are comfortable with that. You'd have registered as Carlo Larrado we'd have been ok with this :D
What I like about us using our real names (or initials or nicknames) is that you actually "know" who you're racing against. A simracer calling himself Terminator or Gilles Villeneuve etc. is, in my opinion, daft and childish.

Reminds me of that guy that lied about his driving skills last year just to get one of the good cars and smoke the rest of the field, atleast there are no Senna-esque pseudomystic ramblings about winning this time :rigol:

No problem admitting him again, i find all this amusing to be honest. Play honest please, there´s no lack of championships with free choice for cars/league physics/spec cars if that´s what you need.

The privacy part as a reason to modify the real name is quite interesting, as over the years I have found out that apparently we in Spain have less variety of family names than other countries. However, since we actually have two family names you can never find someone unless you know that second one. Try googling with my name and you will see literally dozens of guys, but with my two family names combination it's only me ... and my brother :D My wife's family name however is italian and it's unique, so you would find her even if only entering that. But don't bother, I found her first :antoine:

I reckon several things are more likely to give away your identity than your username on a simracing forum. Your address, for starters :D I suppose one could always live at their friend's place. And use their friend's phone. And drive their friend's car. And wear their friend's clothes Neutral

Quite supprising really someone would do this, i know myself i would rather win from a challenge than from a easy stroll in the park. Guess other people are not the same.

Believe you admins did the right thing allowing him to continue.

wow! I'm a bit shocked reading this stuff. I'm new to you guys so I only know Lorenzo. I had a nice battle with him for the lead in my class of cars at Zolder in the 1981 DTM race.

Let's move on and see what Lorenzo can do in the really slow cars lol!

*sigh*

This is fairly gutting to read in to. I will be the first to admit being in slower cars is very frustrating but here is also a compliment to a driver to be disallowed from certain cars. It was wonderful to come in at Bathurst late last year and have people congratulate me on qualifying 6th.

The atmosphere at HSO is definitely not centered around out and out pace and winning. It is I guess why so much balancing is done with the drivers which is not really a bad thing at all. Take the most recent time out at Nords in the Camaro. I am so happy about that 5th overall. The challenge of a bad car is so rewarding when it goes right so I don't see why a driver would be opposed to having that challenge.

I hope that Lorenzo (whoever?) either admits to his error here. I have loved racing against him the most recently at HSO and particularly having another hot lapper for the qualifying sessions has been wonderful fun to par-take in.

It is always a disappointment when something like this happens and I only hope that everything is resolved quickly and easily.

Oscar.

I don't mind if he comes back, he just needs to be himself, fair and honest Wink

There was no need to be a "two-timer", even if you were an aggressive driver. If you learn and behave on track, everyone will see the improvement and get to like battling said driver.

The only time I made up another character was for a role-playing game on BATracer(a browser game), if you know that one.

However, the history of sad Neutral .
All the same I don't think his actions were evil intent. But I do not understand why he had hardly thought of the consequences.
I confess I have long suspected something was wrong, even when looking at section Champions HSO and profiles of the winners of the forum. But I decided that I'm not the first who saw the coincidence of the data in the profile Carlo Pozzi and Lorenzo Arisi. He even and especially not in hiding. And of course were not for me to decide what to do with it. In any case of fraud always unworthy.
