| Looks amazing And the guy also moddeled the BRM P25, Maserati 250F, Aston DBR4 and Ferrari 246, so I guess we can expect a full 1959 season | |

| Great news!! I'm one of those who think 80's cars are too modern One of the 1st cars I drove with about 12 years old, was an VW Beatle from the 60's in tip top condition at the time.. I felt in love... Many years later I had a mini; oh boy that was fun!! Locking the wheels... 360 spins... you name it It was so much fun passing those big BMW's on the corners I mean,I grew up driving 80's cars... and the ones I drove where shit (including my dad's Merc). I drove 2 of that era that I felt in love: Alfa 75 turbo and a little R5 Turbo Mk2 tunned by alpine I guess (from a french cousin that worked there)... hummm maybe also the BMW 318is, that at that time I couldn't really dominate. That said I think in the 80's the carmakers just became stupid and blind! Just like record producers So more 50's 60's 70's mod's please!! | |

| Road going vehicles may have been a bit second rate, but definitely not those in Motorsport. Firstly there were the beautiful and dominative F1 cars of the time (Lotus 86 JPS, McLaren MP4 etc). Them there were the Group C's of the WSC, probably some of the greatest machinery ever built (especially the silver C9! ). The greatest rallying machines also originated from these time periods-the Lancia 037! I think more 80s! | |

| I'll have to agree with you as far as Rally and F1 goes. I forgot to mension the Lancia Delta HF turbo I drove from that era.. great chassis and great steering. I've also had one latter but the 94 version... not so good you see.. the modern the car, the worst the verion is. I mean look at the Golf GTI for instance, or the mighty Ford Escort RS... they call that FF Focus an RS... eresy!!! and the list goes on. For motorsports you might be right. I've never driven a race car so... can't say really . But in rfactor I preffer the older challanging cars. | |

| I have to say, I'm quite disappointed with the beta, for 2 reasons (maybe 3):
1)the modsystem is crazy. Anybody who thought making cars and tracks dependent on each other, requiring you to install tons of stuff you won't ever touch must have been really high. 2)I'm afraid going offroad will Kill my G25. The shaking of the wheel is so uncomfortable and noisy, I certainly can't play in night as it wakes the whole house. 3)Hardware requirements don't correspond with graphic quality imo, while it looks better in rf1, fps isn't good. But I'm sure this will improve in final release, after all it has already improved since first build (I noticed boost from some 30 to 50fps with the same settings in build 85)
What I love is the weather, ffb on road and tyre model, like everybody else.
But rf1 has much more to offer currently. | |
