Since I can't drive (my simracing PC isn't good enough so i've installed it on my laptop, which can run it but at minimum settings) I've just taken a look at the game.

First thing I noticed : the car selection screen is total crap, you have to run through all cars one by one to select one, they are not sorted by type (F1 F2 or F3 in this case). I can't imagine the mess this is going to be with a mod with hundreds of skins like TCL or HGT. Adding to that, the cars name and type are written verticaly, stupid ! I really hope modders will be able to change that.

Another thing I noticed, we don't have access to the track or mods files at the moment, it seems that all physics, sounds, track configuration files ... are packed into .mft files, which we can't open.

Well, I bought it, tried it... And now I'm waiting to see if their refund service is up to the job pig

Thing is, I only have 1 or 2 FPS max, with all graphics down and minimal resolution.

Gonna have to get me a new pc to drive these :hum:

Quote :
The lifetime membership allows you to play online for life, instead of having to pay the fee every year.
As far as I know, it has nothing to do with reactivating the game.

So you need to purchase the game first and activate it, then pay the lifetime membership separately? Not so good deal, then rFactor 2 - Page 13 822172

Got my first try with the so-called 1960s F1 at Monaco. It is indeed very nice graphically, nothing to say about that. The FFB seems very much improved too, as I used the default settings and it felt very nice. The all menu pages etc have been nicely improved too.

On the down side, the moving arms in the cockpit are a big failure imho, and you still have the fucking "are you sure you want to quit ?" message once you pressed "exit" Sad . In 5 years of rFactor I never exited the game mistakenly... but I did have to confirm my choice around 6 billion times Evil or Very Mad .

Of the other advertised improvements I have yet to either test them (weather, online) or have no interest in (AIs Rolling Eyes )

Depends on what you call "about the same" Smile
Game + 18 months multiplayer = 35€
Game + lifetime multiplayer = 65€
