| On that first Trenton picture, what kind of weird wall is that ? It's not the usual guard rail or concrete wall | |

I know. That's an odd wall. Not sure what material it is.

I read that the wall was made from a metal landing strip for aircraft. I guess that it was laid out in a field to make a temporary landing strip, maybe from WW2.

| I myself had posted a pic of that one in this thread some time ago after I was in Alcañiz last summer. Actually it seems that the circuit is still used from time to time, on some minor national events. I can't think of a track that is worth guessing now, anyone with a good one please be my guest | |

| First thought was Zuera but that's too large :/ It also has a similar layout to the Buriram circuit in Thailand but no nearby football stadium. No idea | |

Will post one in awhile No, I have never been to Longridge. Croft is my local circuit. Longridge was Near Preston in Lancashire on the edge of The Trough Of Bowland it was only open for about 8 years and it was built in an old disused quarry but I've never been to a track that had such great viewing for the Public although the facilities where practically prehistoric ... The track hosted many great races F3 , Modified Saloons , Mini's , Rallycross , but perhaps most memorable where the Formula Libre races ... I Remember some drivers .. Brian Henton , Warren Booth , Alo Lawler , Alex Ribero , Chris Meek , Nick Whiting and Doug Niven in his fearsome 5 Litre Volkswagen Beetle ... Man on a little track that thing was fast .... http://www.racing70s.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/racing70s/German/vwbeetle_niven.htm Where else could you see F1, F2 , F3 , Ford Escort and Lotus Elan all on the track together Its such a shame that it was all dug up and turned into a bloody caravan Park Those where the Days

| Longbridge lap record was set by Kim Mather in an F1 BRM P153 at 23.6 secs in 1973, but the track being so short and tight, this was an average speed of only 65 mph. Is that the slowest lap record speed?
Has Longridge ever been made for a sim? I thought about making it in the GPL days.
