Rfactor 1991 F1 mod

Has anyone tried the 1991 F1 mod for Rfactor?

Its frustrating not being able to get to my main machine to try it out for a week or so. For me its an exciting prospect as its the era I 'grew up' in. I was 11 during the '91 season.

I see there is some criticism over the in-car sounds, but its the physics which are important. Is it any good?

I quickly tried the 1.0 version, and car sounds are far from perfect yes. Physics are correct, but all cars have the same so it looses all its interest for me. Anyway it don't like drive those cars as much as 79'ers which is still the best historical F1 mod out there for me

And moddeling isn't that good. It could be a good beta, but not a finished mod in my opinion

Meh, if its identical physics all round then yes that does take quite a bit of the appeal away. Thats a shame, seeing those cars/liveries sent a shiver down my spine.

The '79 mod has put the bar pretty high.

Thanks for the info. Maybe something to come back to if the physics are adjusted for each specific car.

To be honest, as far as the Honda engine sounds for the era go, to me thats not that far off. *shiver*

I really hope they sort out individual physics at some point.

Those so called "league editions" makes no sense at all to me.
If one wanna stock car racing, should try a stock car series
If one wants just different models, slot car racing is cool too

I Really Like the 91 mod its the season that ive been wanting the most
for all these years i know that it could be a lot better
and im sure once the mod is brought up to date and all the cars
have there own physics and the sounds are improved it will be a great mod .......

I Just cant wait to recreate this season that gave us all the great names
Senna, Schumacher, Mansell, Prost, Hackinnen, Alesi, Berger so many too choose from
and a 36 car grid .....

I Would definatly be interested in a league that raced this mod
although its needs a lot of work to bring it up to the standard of the 79 Mod ...

Hunt, Fittipaldi, Lauda, Ickx, Andretti, Regazzoni, Pace, Peterson, Laffite, Depailler, that definately sounds better to me

I think its all great for historic sim racing. It certainly opens up opportunities for the future.

Lafitte does all the season? He drives for Williams (one of the worse team) at this time but not for the entire season no?

It would be fun to see the most exentric team the F1 had..the Hesketh Team

Yes Laffite did the full season at Williams in 1975, only missing the odd GP when his F2 schedule (he won the Euro title that year) conflicted. Really a mod I am looking forward to too !

His second place at Nurburgring probably saved Williams from bankruptcy, and the FW07 and championship winners cars...
Lafitte will miss Montjuich, Anderstorp, but will be at the non championship Swiss GP

En tout cas, je vais l'attendre avec impatience.

C'est bien une conversion du mod de F1 Challenge, mais je crois qu'il ont prévu un gros lifting

About 1975 F1, I've uploaded a few scans from magazines reports of 1975 Grands Prix races. Only a few races available though : Argentina, Brasil, Espana, France, British GP, Deutschland, Österreich and Italia from Road & Track ; Brands Hatch Race of Champions from Autosport and British GP from MotorSport.
