Is it possible to remove the Helicopter noise in the game? I don't think the GTP mod has it, however Trans Am sound pack, upon others, do. Is it possible to remove it?

Yep, fantastic game. Saw it on Youtube a while back and bought it for cheaper than it was worth, haven't a clue where the disc is though.

In the sound folder, I have found the helicopter sound, will I break the game if I remove the file? :hum:

Make a backup and try NR2003 sound question 420535

At worst you can replace it with an empty sound, or use a sound editor to reduce volume considerably.

I bought my NR2003 for 2,95 Euro .... beat that! NR2003 sound question 788525 When I saw the box in the bargains bin in a shopping mall I couldn't believe it, I had to look twice to be sure it was really NR2003 and not any of the other older versions ... they sell at ebay for 100+ Euro nowadays What a Face

Yep! That's what kills me. I run a patch so I don't need the CD (am I allowed to say that?), so I don't necessarily need the CD. Could have made a fortune, but I prefer to keep games like that anyway :D

I bought mine for 49,95, I think, back when it was new. I've never ever run a full-length race Embarassed I should probably reinstall it now as well, it's been a few years since I last touched it. Is there an installation guide or anything available?

For mods or for the game? Game is regular install, if you run Vista or 7, you have to disable DEP to play I think.

I don't think it needs any kind of guide, just plain install and enjoy NR2003 sound question 420535 I have 3 installs of it, one original for the offline championship I'm doing, one for the great Grand National 1970 mod, and another one for the Group C/IMSA cars.

Are there any carsets available for the GTP mod? I'm aware of the 1991 IMSA set, but not of any others Sad NR2k3tracks.com says there are some available, but I can't find any of them.

Sebastien Quioc wrote:
Alessio there is also a 1970 Le Mans carset available. Not very accurate except for the paintjobs I think. For the helicopter sound as said Alberto you have to replace it with a blank sound (it's an .ogg file IIRC). If you say that GTP doesn't have it, I'm pretty sure it's because the file is blank already so all you have to do is copy the helicopter sound from GTP to the regular N2003 sound folder. If it's not the same name (Logically it's exactly the same) just give it the name of the one that is in the sound.dat file (you can open this one with Winmip2).

Was the 1970 Le Mans carset on SimRacing Mirror Zone? I think I might have seen it, if not, then do you have a link?

Thank you for the information on the sounds, I will give that a go Wink
