| Hmm I think its a pretty easy one, completly flat, wide enough, no corkscrew ... Fast chicanes and late apexes, good fun if you ask me | |

| Too artificial and flat for my liking, but kinda challenging in his way. Should be fun in the race, turn 1 will take its toll I'm afraid ! _________________ Thou shalt not train.

| I usually hate this kind of flat track, but there are some interesting sequences of turns My replay and setup for the M18. Not a perfect lap, but at least it's clean _________________ | |

| I don't like it much either, specially when you look at the rest of the calender and see such beatiful venues as Watkins Glen or Elkhart Lake ... Anyway, the killer for me here is mainly turn 9 (I think it's 9) -the right hander which closes the radius just after a more open right hander. It's also slippery, and setting up the car with correct differential coast for the rest of the track will seriously compromise this one, making it much more difficult -as braking/slowing with these cars while turning is really delicate _________________ | |

| pretty special track, not so wide and with many width changes, it looks fast but it's not really, tight corners, no really secure overtake spot, flat out chicanes followed by slower curves, i like it ! technical track, wild race ahead the weak point for me (but not really important for racing) is the very old-fashioned look of the textures and scenery (as for Laguna... because of GPL conversion?) | |

Yep both come from GPL, along with Brainerd.

| At least with Laguna a lot of the curves are mildly banked which helps you accelerate out. The flatness is catching me out so far. I'm sure once I dial in a proper set up it won't be as frustrating. It will just take a little time... _________________ | |

| There's a vast majority of turns to right, and only two to left. A slightly asymmetrical setup could eventually pay off, at least in camber settings | |

Yeah, I was playing with an asymmetric set up last night. Not the whole answer, but definitely part of the equation... _________________

Maybe I am not running good version of rfactor? I have 1.255? When you installed the f5000 mod, did you also install the patch? _________________

Not sure. Whatever it is, it's apparently critical. _________________

Not sure. Whatever it is, it's apparently critical. Just added the patch contents, but still crashes to desktop. single player & maps work just fine. only after I hit connect it crashes _________________

Well shoot. Let's see... Do you have the proper track selected? (i.e. was Edmonton the last one you loaded?) _________________

Yeah, I had it on Edmonton, I don't know... Perhaps I should just do a new install, do you know where I can get a clean copy of the game? _________________

Perhaps I should just do a new install, do you know where I can get a clean copy of the game? I agree. I've had crashing problems before, and a clean, fresh install is usually the best option. Try here: http://rfactor.net/ _________________
