| I broke the engine after 13 laps... I had problems to keep a good pace since my usual neckache and backache came too early. _________________ http://newarchive.simjunkies.org/discussion/9582/asj-f1-1982-race-4 | |

| Happy with my participation at Brands Hatch A pity I broke engine at lap 10 ... I would've been training a little bit more this week but it was a busy one Anyway happy with PB with a high 33 at qualy ... In race I didn't remember to use 4th gear instead of 3rd at some curves ... this should be the reason of my early finish Thx all ... see you at Oulton | |

It was quite a fun race for my "come back", but I did really too many mistakes. I really struggled to understand how this goddam front train works in this game. So i was starting on pole (really surprised of my time ) but Reg got me at the start. We stayed packed with him and JP during first laps until I overtook Reg at the last corner (he let the door wide open). Once in the lead i managed to pull away a bit but it didn't last long. I went off 8 times in total in this damned long left turn. During closing stages of the race i thought i could win when i was lapping 1s per lap quicker than Reg but did another mistake in this turn and that was over Anyway, i had lot of fun tonite, I enjoyed the whole race. Too bad we were so few, come on guys, non championship races are as fun as the others Congrats Tristan and Reg

Congrats Tristan and Reg Cheers Guillaume, JP, Tristan & all! great race!! i was surprised with what i did in qual, and after a great start but a few nervous early laps, i felt more comfortable letting Gui go through at the end of lap 3... i didnt realise JP was so close and i had to shut the door again quickly and get back on pace, as Gui bolted and JP was all over me. i didnt last the lap, JP got a better exit out of the uphill left and had me at the end of the straight and i didnt contest into the next right. that was ok, though, and i just stuck with JP and let him set the pace... and pretty much immediately the tone of the race changed. Gui went long into the uphill left for the first time, and so i really decided to go for JP, who was trying to make some ground with his freshening track position. i was able to close up on JP eventually, settling into a really nice groove, and then he went a little wide into Druids on lap 10, and i stuck my nose inside, then clung around the outside for the next left, with JP not contesting too hard in return... shortly after JP went out, which was sad to see, after having such a good battle up to then. unlucky JP! that left me, Tristan and Gui on track. lap 15 i went off at the uphill left myself, letting Tristan through, and i had a really great chase back to Tristan, with Gui closing on me, before Tristan returned the favour at the same dastardly lefthander. from the halfway mark it seemed Gui was making it very hard for himself after catching me over and over, and still tantalizingly close at the end... but kept falling off at South bank... but never leaving me entirely comfortable... i kept on nailing as fast a lap as i could while preserving the fronts and inducing the rears to melt a bit more, watching Gui closing in again on pribluda, and on lap 34 i did a sub 1m33s which i was doubly happy for it arriving at same time Gui did his race fastlap... and then he went off at south bank, so i cruised towards the end... i tried a bit of showboating on the last lap, but didnt manage to improve my fastlap. cheers all, was good fun and a great way to start my sunday!! go the Coop!!!! catchyes all soon
