Well the server allows the mismatches so you can still go on track and race
I don't know how it will go at the start of the race though

What a lovely car but a real bitch to set up For the first few laps I could almost match Tiago's pace but then it got worse and worse until I spun and left.
I really hope the mismatch hell will get sorted. And that more people will be present next time!

After 4 months I didn't remember the feeling of doing a race... and what a feeling. The car feels superb, drives superb and sounds superb
2 great scraps during the race.
1st: with Steve during 15 or so laps. I was quite excited at this stage for being able to keep up since I had no training whatsoever, and for those 15 laps it was quite a handful. It ended in tears for Steve which I humbly ask him to forgive me. I wasn't going to try a manoeuvre, but we had different braking points and I got so close to you during braking that I started it.There was a moment I thought I had it clear, but I was obviously wrong and I clipped your rear end. I was in fact so upset that I stopped my car just to apologize. It was a rookie mistake (maybe that's what I am again ), so forgive me Steve.
2nd: After the incident with Steve and loosing a lot of time for Carlo while I was apologizing, I tried hard to see if I could reduce the gap (13 sec. if I recall) and managed to reduce to 6 secs. with 6 laps to go. Then Carlo made a mistake in the 1st turn and I closed on him. Then it was a battle with him (and the tyres), you could almost hear the car begging for grip in the chicane, but all my efforts did not bring any result since Carlo defended himself perfectly. We crossed the finish line with a nice and glamorous 0.999 s gap
Can't complain at all

I Was not aware of any problems with the install before i went away am i right in thinking that once everyone downloaded the correct version of the mod and installed the tyre fix that everything was ok ....
How many people managed to race without problems is the tyre fix an improvement on the last race ...
I Was planning on being back in time for the race but was held up hopefully if we do have any problems with this install they can be quickly sorted ...
Any Info on this would be very helpful ....
Thx Guys ...

Dont' forget that I don't know exactly what Gui did install on the server (no blame to him, he's not at his home too and is not aware of all dev of this mod... and I could tell him my problem only at the last minute) and I couldn't test the server myself. As soon as I get back Internet at home I'll do a complete new install on the server. Hope this can happen quickly.

THX Steve Thats good to hear how many people turned up for the race and how many people finished the race ...
Was hoping that the car would be a little easier to drive and more enjoyable to race with
not many m8,the car seemed no different to me,but then again i was getting gp4.hdv mismatches,so not sure how it handles,as i said seemed same to me as previous version, dont know how many finished as my race was ended early, shunt up the rear as usual

Carl and me will look at the mod and ensure there is an official version with all updates included that can be uploaded to the server and downloaded by all to avoid mismatches. Since we were planning to release a lite version without videos, and since videos will be in an optional aditional pack, it should suffice for everyone to download the lite one.
If the adminis prefer so, I can also provide a separate pack for us at HSO with just the physics files revised to prevent mismatches that will be just a few KB size and that can be both installed on the server and downloaded and installed by all of us. This would probably be the most quick and effective solution.
Either solution should be ready for next monday or friday at most. Is that OK for the admins?
