Wow 1.04.074 with a Penske :D. I imagine what you could do with a Reynard/Honda/Firestone combination.

BTW the Dennis Vitolo car is a Reynard 97 not a Reynard 98 like the others Razz

Well in fact it was. I've got an impact on the direction and the car got understeering in every right corner and sligthly oversteering in left ones. To get thing worse I got hit by Mickael on the same corner when he loose his front wing (as it seems) damaging again my car on the same side. Can't say I was very happy on both impact as I've seen my race ending there. Whatever I managed to keep on the track until lap 70 where I lost it (with little help for the aerodynamic disturbances of Steve lol! ...just kidding Steve was only my mistrake there) just before last corner. Loose the front wing in the process in go back to pit. Hopefully I've got plenty of advance on the follower. I repaired damage on goes on...but the direction was messy on the impact. The car was quite undriveable and I lift the throttle to see the checkered in 5th place thanks to a good strategy, many retirments and the crash of Steve in the very few last laps. Well I was hoping to finish 6th-8th thanks to strategy. Wasn't taking that way on first stint though...but I managed to do it :D :D

Ben, tahnk you for organising this race!

After lot of problems which leads to fact that I didn´t start in any qulification I finally stand on grid and to be honest i didn´t practise too much...20 laps maybe, but I am not sure...so my only goal was to stay on track as long as possible and...finally..it was really good!! Smile I din´t have any close racing in this race...mainly I have Ben one place behind or before me, but I think it never was less than 3 sec. No matter that I really did´t expect that i will stay on track 76 laps after at least half a year withou any online race...so it is not a problem for me that I blown engine few laps before the end, i am happy that I can stay on track that long and that I didn´t finish my race with some big driver error...

thank you for race, I hope I will met all of you on next open event...

really hard race, i gained lots of positions due to failures of other drivers and i think due to the fact that i did only 2 Pit Stops Smile

i overtook JL Petillot but my car began to slide, i apologize for that, fortunatley you didn't crash Sad

made a vid of my harsh driving :X

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grEIm0V6N00

but was a really nice race afterwards, it was very hard to stay in front,.. had a massive slide in turn1 as i shifted 2 gears down at once...damn it :X i saw you brake next to me, lucky we didn't crash ^^

did the whole race at boost3 btw

I just watched the replay of my unfortunate incident again, what a mess ... was downcelerating when the sock in my right foot got caught at lifting by the brake pedal going down (I have them close together for doing heel and toe with classic cars) and all of a sudden the car accelerates again into the turn and goes almost straight out, crossing the track in front of Ludo and bringing him out too

Again sorry mate I feel so miserable for this nonesense ... pale

I drove a perfect race on my side, no mistakes at all, 2 perfect pitstops but i had to fight hard to take the win :first:

I chose the same strategy of last year, a 2 stop strategy with softs and boost 5 all the way, i was going flat out to keep Wolfgang behind, but my goodyears went off very quickly, after lap 10 into the stint i was going 1s slower than at the beginning, after the 2nd stop i had a 8s advantage with 20 laps to go, from then he was on fresher tyres and he was closing, unluckily i also lost 2s when Ludo and Karel slowed me down in the twisty section, Wolfgang was on my rear wing with 4 laps to go, when he spun exiting the first corner allowing me to cruise to the win

Well done all finishers !!
