| at first I have to say big THANKS to admin of HSO and this wonderful series with F1 1979 mod. I didn´t start in lot of races till this one. I like Monza very much, I always did, no matter if it was in GPL or in some GT in GTR or rF. F1 1979 is one of top3 open wheel mods in rF for me, but in fact I never feel that I CAN drive any of these cars... Qualification was great fun for me! after few months without online racing I was happy to have a cahnce to start with Brabham! Finaly my time was far better then I expected I can do. 8th place on start was great too. I was looking fwd. to this race, but my small son don´t have good evening today, so I wasn´t sure if I can start. Finaly I manage to start but I didn´t change radiator settings, so I blew my engine right on the start stupid mistake, but no problem at all for me, I was happy for 8th place in quali, anything more will be like a cake so...this evening without cakes (at least I won´t be more fat then I am right now ) I don´t know if I will start in any more races this season, and to be honest, I am not sure about next seasons too, as I wrote in at the start of my post, I never feel save driving these beasts. Maybe there will be other championship (for example with F1 91 which I am in love with right now ) where I woud like to start, so I hope we will see on track again one day | |

You need 3 more points and you'll be champion, great season so far m8 It was an amazing flat out race ended with a win in my home GP After a bad start from pole i managed to take 1st from Pierre at Roggia and built a 5s lead until about lap 20, when Greg took 2nd place. His pace was awesome, he closed the gap and we started another great battle, when he went past i tried everything to stay with him and force him into a mistake, which came with just 5 to go, i retook the lead and a 3s advantage was enough to finish the race in front Greg you absolutely deserve a win after 4 2nd places in the last 5 races , well done , tonight you really gave me a hard time And i'm tied with Gui for 2nd in the champ, but next are 2 tracks which are not good for the Alfa (especially Watkins Glen), and the scoring system isn't helping me at all (need to finish 3rd or better to score) See you in Montreal!!

| Boy what a race! Where do I start? Vincent, again, it's no problem mate. Nothing much else happened than you owe me a new pair of shorts. That was one of the most exciting races I have ever done. That's all thanks to JP. It's hard to put in typing, but we had so much fun. We raced eachother from pretty much lap 1. There was a short period of time when Vincent was between us, but after lap 12 we were unspearable. My turbo would make sure I would stay in front on the straights, a lot of grinding teeth and butt-cheeks in every corner to stay in front. Occasionally JP would pull off the most amazing overtaking move and left me gawking. :O Very clean passes, some times several times in one lap. We both made sure there was never any contact between us, a few times was close but I was never worried, at all. You should have seen us go 2 wide through Lesmo when Greg and Carlo had lapped us... I always knew where JP was (mostly tucked in under the Renault rear wing) and I felt he knew where I was. He got to study the Renault behaviour from very close behind so he knew where to attack, and you know what? I knew too, where he'd make an attack. After a bunch of laps, I started to prevent that by turning up the boost in various places, just enough to make sure he couldn't slipstream me And when I made a mistake, JP was oh so quick to take advantage. I tell you people, I swear JP grew some kind of a 6th sense, he always seemed to know what, or when, I did something different. I swear because it is impossible to stay that close to eachother for so long without even the slightest tap. A blink of the eye and he was right beside me, or in front of me taunting my dear Renault. "Catch me if you can " Renault responded: "MmmbaahweeeeEOOKAYYY" But like I said, he had plenty of time to study and memorize exaqctly where I would brake, accelerate or turn. If I missed any, by ever so little, he was there Fucking brilliant driving! Very clean racing, no closed doors, no blocking, nada. Curtious and safe. Oh and pretty damn quick. I know I gave the Renault all I had, and it felt like, for a change, I was driving the car, not the other way around... Of course the very unpredictable handling made sure I stayed awake. Believe me, the bastard thing does have a mind of it's own. You think everything is fine, you are in control and all of a sudden the thing bites you right in the face, with fury. You know, like the kind of guy who'd rip your arm off and beat you to death with it. Or a Pitbull... Anyway, I could go on for ever about our epic battle, I hope it will go on some movie, ^^ *wink wink* so you all can watch the highlights of that. Carlo said he'd look at the replay, I told him "Cool, but you know it's about 50 laps..." Congrats Carlo, Greg and Pierre. I hope some day there will be a few more of us to challenge you lot. I bet a couple of Arrows' would have given you a run for your money, with their regular drivers, but both somehow found something more important to do... Shameful... See you in Canada. I was thinking about lending my Renault to someone else for the last 2 rounds, so I could make up my mind to what to drive next season. I love the Renault, but half of the season is so painful with it... But we'll see about that | |

| I don't know what I can add to Kimmo's post. This race is probably in my personal top 5 of great races, along with Oulton Aurora, and Brno DTM, both with Gui and Martin. It's not yet my birthday, it's Gui's ( ), but it's a nice gift. Thanks Kimmo and well done Carlo. | |

| Well, JP, when are we going to do it again? It sucks that the race is over already... I want to do this at least once a week, when it is done like that. Going to download the replay, make a cup of coffee and watch it, right now... By the way, remember when we were exiting Parabolica, and came up to lap Jan? Sorry Jan if we scared you, but mate, next time please don't make it so easy on the followers so that it is unexpected. I do know you only wanted to help, you are one of the most curtious drivers on a racetrack, but to lift off there is dangerous. I have said it before and I'd like to say it again. Lapped cars, you really don't have to make sure the faster guys can make a pass - at any cost - it's their job to make their way around you. It is always easier on the faster car when he can see the speed difference and plan where the overtaking will take place. Of course, after tight places like a chicane or something, it is very nice if the lapped car moves off the line and lifts a little to let the faster cars pass. But imagine the horror when you nail the throttle at the apex, getting ready to slingshot by a lapped car, only to find out it slows down rather than accelerates... This time I had to steer left, still in parabolica... But nothing happened, just more stains in the shorts, so don't take it wrong Jan, I am not calling you out or anything, just some friendly advice. For your own safety as well. I really hate when someone tries his best to have a great time and stay out of trouble, and feels he has to move out of his way to help others, and then end up in a wall. And I've said this one before, I'll say it again. The guys who turn up, race after race, fight and battle with shit cars all season, really deserve some creds. I hope next season all the best cars are reserved for you. Williams, Ligier etc. Too bad the championship based on what car you drive is gone. Maybe take that up again next season? The team championship is pretty much useless because there is basically just one team who can win it. A team with 1 crap car really can't battle with a team with 3 great cars... | |

Je me sors lamentablement. | |

| For the first time since starting out in this series I was actually racing someone. It was challenging getting ahead and then trying to stay ahead of Patrice in the Rebaque. But then my car got inconsistent braking for the Ascari chicane. It would do one thing one lap, then another the next as I tried to compensate for what happened the lap before. It ended up with me stuck on a kerb with both driven wheels in the air... | |

| I don t have words for to decript this race just AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The same than usually , I needed 10 min race for to take my concentration , I need to work on this , after this time I was at 8 second than Carlo and 2 second than Pierre , on the 19 lap , Pierre spin front of me and I took the 2nde place , Carlo was at 6 second front and i decided to give all ... after 6 laps I was in the gearbox of Carlo and from there began a TITANIC BATTLE !!!!!! 3 times the braking 1st chicane, I passed him but i having cut the chicane, I returned him the 1st place immediately , between the laps 30 and 46 we were wheels on wheels all time for exemple on the 45 laps we overtook 4 times in the same lap for the lead with the first lesmo wheels on wheels this lap is just AMAZING on the replay but my problem on this race was the top speed of afla , Carlo was more 10 kmh faster than me ,I needed to be any time in his aspiration , and for that I had put the downforce to a minimum , and my car was very nervous about the braking phase for conclusion , I was a bit disappointed about this 2nd place, but I have given everything, I couldn't go faster, I was all time at the limt of adherence. Yesterday evening, the stronger won , congratulations Carlo Guys if you have time watch the replay lap 28 first chicane , lap 32 first chicane to , and after all laps betwwen 40 and 46 just amazing battle | |

| I spun like a jerk at the Roggia chicane on lap 1 and damaged the car. I hit Christian too for which I apologize . I rejoined last and hopped to the pits to lose 65 seconds repairing the damage. I rejoined one lap behind the leaders and in front of Kimmo and JP who were 4th and 5th. I spent the rest of the race pushing as hard as I could but climbed back up to 8th only due to the poor attrition rate up front. Kimmo and JP never caught me, I even increased the gap so this gives me lots of regrets as I could have had a nice and easy 4th here . Grats to Carlo for the win and to all involved in the numerous duels of the race ! | |
