*** Mont-Ventoux special rules and schedule - PLEASE READ ***

As this will be the first hillclimb race at HSO, please take note of the special rules governing the all proceedings.


Schedule

Sunday October 10th

8:00pm : Warm-up
8:50pm : Drivers’ briefing
9:00pm : Start Class 1 race
9:40pm : Start Class 2 race
10:15pm : Start Class 3 race

Server Password : hso88

The race will be run as a « private qualifying » session as per rFactor's rules. This means you will not see the other cars on the track while you are doing your run. To keep the hillclimb spirit alive, each car will start at one (1) minute intervals.

Chatting during the race will, for once, be allowed. This will make for a friendly evening so feel free to comment the others' runs and the evolution of the standings while you are not on track. Of course we will ask you to keep the chat focused on the race only, thanks.
Those who do not want to have the chat on their screen during their run can switch off the in-car chat by modifying the following line in the multiplayer.ini file located in your player's folder : Allow Chat In Car="0" .

The starting position is the same for everybody. It is stricktly forbidden to go backwards from the initial starting position to warm up your tires and/or gain some momentum by starting further away from the starting line. Those breaking this rule will be immediately banned from the race server.

Also remember to switch off the pit speed limiter before you start your run !

Starts for each car will be given by myself on the server chat : for instance “GO Jérémy” for the first starter of the first race. This “go” means you can press the “race” button and find yourself in your car on the starting line. From this moment you have a few seconds to effectively start your run. I cannot give the real “go” to everybody because some might want to turn the in-car chat off, so please wait for your turn outside of your car .
As stated in the rules, the starting order for each race follow the order of the race numbers of the entered cars, the only exception being that I will start last in each race as I have to give you all your go order.

A driver who would arrive on the server after the scheduled time of his run will drop back to the end of the starting list.

You can check your respective estimated starting times in the starting lists below.

Don't hesitate if you have any questions and/or remarks regarding the all procedure.

Tip top! Chapeau, ça va être bien sympa.

Je tiens à signaler un probleme que nous avons eu sur le serveur hier.

Si avec les autres voitures il semble que tout vas bien, lorsqu'il y a une Nissan et un Sierra en meme temps sur la ligne de départ, elles ne se chevauchent pas et en général l'une envoie l'autre hors piste au pire, ou au moins elle lui fait des bosses. Parfois (mais pas souvent) elles sont pourtant placé l'une derrière l'autre et dans ce cas il y a moyen de contourner la voiture qui est devant, mais seulement en reculant de quelques mètres pour faire la manoeuvre.

J'espère que ça ne va pas foutre la m*rde dimanche soir ...

Sinon bravo pour l'organisation, tout à l'air bien pensé. Ca promet d'etre bien sympa.

i think it will be interesting to see how people get on

We have the right to discuss during the race Carl. And for that you must be on the server.

The Only reason i ask is that when i raced on LNR earlier this year one of the rules was unless your racing or about to take your car out on the track then could you diconnect from server and dont spend too much time chatting .......

I Think it will be great if we can watch other guys and see how the hillclimb unfolds
should be really interesting ...Really looking forward to this one ....

Pierre - bien vu mais c'est pour ça qu'on fait la course en séance "private qualifying". Comme ça chacun est physiquement seul en piste et point de chevauchement possible sur la ligne de départ .

Carl - yes you can enter the server whenever you please just as long as it is in time for your run .

franck peux tu me remettre sur la ford RS 500 n 33 que j avais reservé cat tout compte fait , je vais faire cette categorie car sinon mon classement general qui risque de ne pas etre terrible , le serait encore moins

Ce sont trois courses distinctes, y'a trois victoires à prendre demain soir ! Je ferais peut-être un classement cumulé des trois montées pour le fun mais ça n'aura aucun caractère officiel ^.^
