Safety

We will be starting the race Single File Staggered to assist in eliminating the first lap incidents. You MUST start with a minimum of a .5 - 1 second gap to the driver in front of you . If a driver is too close at the start, or causing problems, we may consider restarting the race. No pass in the first few corners is going to win the race for you.


Chatting

During, Qualifications and Race, no chatting whatsoever will be tolerated. Even to warn other drivers that you're exiting/entering pits, or to thank a lapper for letting you through. If you do chat, you will receive a warning

A bit of history : A 500km event, Watkins Glen's Camel Continental was to be the longest race of the season. However, the fast no-loop no-chicane layout allowed winner Juan Manuel Fangio II to complete the 122 laps in just 2h30!! Geoff Brabham and Chip Robinson were following closely under the checkers, making it a Japanese 1-2-3. Intrepids, Jaguars and Porsches were off the pace.

Well we can always postpone, but since all americans left the series, I'm afraid there won't be more than 6 or 7 drivers on the starting grid now, at best.

C'est vraiment dommage, car ce mod est fantastique.
Il faudrait peut être revoir les horaires ou le jour, tant pis pour les ricains, ça fait un moment qu'ils nous ont laissé tomber.Peut être un autre horaire ou jour ferait rentrer de nouveau pilotes???

Race is canceled or postponed, I dont know, Antoine will decide, but there are obviously not enough drivers for a decent race today.

La course est annulée ou reportée je sais pas, Antoine décidera, mais il est évident qu'il n'y a pas assez de pilotes pour faire une course décente aujourd'hui.

Sorry I couldn't make it,..as noted in the other thread Re Trois', I have been looking after my Mother and have Not been at My residence, which kinda makes it hard to race at the Moment.

I Was Really looking forward to the Watkins round, as I always enjoy driving on that track.

I'll try and 'drop by' more often to keep up with what is happening.

I Still enjoy this mod and am Hoping some racing will continue in the future,..when, after moving, I might even have a Half decent internet connection!

Really don't know what to say...

Can't get access to internet from home lately, so I haven't been able to promote the series as much as I would have liked to... My motivation is still the same, but I really can't figure out what to do to keep the series alive... Watkins Glen was basically the most exciting track of the championship so if we can't gather enough drivers for this round I'm afraid we ain't going anywhere...

Any advice welcome...

Every time i find somthing to drive that i like i see peoples going away.

This GTP mod is excellent. better than whole rfactor , to me.

I think that lots of people gone(from nr2k3) to drive iRacing.

others drive rfactor.

I think i will be back in GPL. i find some patches to run it on 60hz and looks superb.

I like to drive this mod cos have pits and that really miss in GPL.

There is no point of racing if there is less than 7-8 drivers.

I will join GPL if GTP dies,

I cant find my self in rFactor.I don't like physics of ISI engine.

Yeah,..No Fantastic suggestions from here either,..although,.whilst a also agree that Watkins Was a Great track,..that one would naturally assume would be extremely popular,..Most of the remaining tracks in the series, are also quite good and should provide some good racing.

Road America is definitely one of my favourite race tracks, in fact think I managed a 3rd or 4th there in the 'Lights' class when running in the TPR team Mazda.

I will certainly try to make it to the remaining rounds, but also agree, it is little fun, with only a few starters.

I know what you are saying about rFactor, although I was enjoying a lot of Our Local Aussie racing, both with ASRG and then TPR, but have sort of lost the Local connections and many of the guys I liked to race with/against here and have been 'out of the rFactor scene for a while.

Plus with the internet connection I had, even locally could cause issues, depending on the Track and number of entrants.
It would be almost impossible to establish a decent connection for HSO's rFactor racesI'd venture, let alone the Extremely Bad timing, for us antipodeans!!,..

Just Can't 'Get Into' GPL,..Never 'Mastered the 'Art' as such,..lol

Saturdays have become an almost impossible day for me to race, especially at this early time of the day... I won't be there Saturday and I'm not optimistic about the rest of the season either...

I work to, but maybe I can make it. cant say for sure. It is to early for me to for all rest races,
