Thanks to Paul Skingley and all the GPL team, (see GPL readme below) the famous Montjuich Park is released for rFactor. To quote from the original readme Used for F1 events between 1969 and 1975 Montjuich was one of the most challenging circuits on the F1 calendar. Using public roads in Barcelona Spain this is a street circuit in the same style as Monaco but with fast sweeping turns and higher top speeds. There were some serious accidents including one in 1969 involving Rindt and Hill where both cars were destroyed. But the most serious was in 1975 when a car left the track at high speed and crashed into a spectator area resulting in fatalities. This was the last straw for Montjuich and F1 cars no longer visited this track. This version for rFactor is based on the GPL reprensentation as it was in 1969. apart from adding some extra objects, static marshals and cameramen, animated flags ..reworked the track for use in later formats, made and added 3d lamps based on photos of the real street lamps still there today, mainly keeping the apperance of the great work of the original by the GPL team, so some retexturing and remapping of parts were done to represent the look of GPL version of the track, some updates like working night lights may possibly be included in a future update.. just as in Paul wrote in a recent email (part included). hope you have fun and enjoy this track.
To Install: extract the rar to temporary folder, then copy the "70stracks" folder into your Locations, if you have that folder already you can safely let it overwrite.

A long time ago I worked on CREW's track packs for F1Challenge and was able to use and add the GPL Montjuich .. sometime later I asked if I could put it across to other later formats. it was agreed I could start work on it, but after RSC forums crashed it was put on hold. plus changing my pc not everything was ported across. so after contacting Paul again I have now put the track into other the formats....
Original Readme:
ENGLISH:-
At last Montjuich Park for GPL is released. It has been 4 years or more in the making but we think you will all agree it has been worth the wait. Used for F1 events between 1969 and 1975 Montjuich was one of the most challenging circuits on the F1 calendar. This version for GPL models the track as seen in 1969. For an in depth track guide and setups see Steve's Montjuich Park guide. http://www.gpladdicts.speedgeezers.com/guides/mnjc/Montjuich_gifs.htm
System requirements:- The standard version should work on systems with a cpu higher that 2.5Ghz and a medium range graphics card with 256mb of Ram. If your system is lower spec we recommend using the Low Polygon addon. there is also a very high res texture addon available.
Conversions/Legal:- The Montjuich track team request that NO conversions of this track for GPL are carried out unless prior permission is given from the track team. This software is freeware ( i.e. non commercial use ) No part may be distributed on any media ( such as CD Rom or Diskette ) for which money is charged nor on media distributed with ( for example ) a magazine for which money is charged without the authors permission This software is provided " as is " without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, You use at your own risk.

This track is in Belgium It is used for racing motorcycle and sidecar, the map shows the chicane which was introduced after 2000. In this track there instead because I have recreated the 1987 with much greenery and many shadows, where there may be problems of fluidity of the game. I tested the circuit with the F1 in 1985 and it was much fun, I tried to be as faithful as possible to the landscape, the boxes are only for the rest of my imagination and really played. Fun.
Changes since the beta release, reworked all grass sections, new grass texturing and mapping, new tree models replacing the old gpl 2d type, some textures updated, new cut tyre models, removed some of the static 2d planes, but added new 3d aircraft models.. Race Starts : watch for the flag ! other credits Based on the GPL Sebring1967 track as converted to F1C by GregDunn and further modified for F1C by NormHart Converted to rF by Algis, Modified for rF by motorfx and NormHart CSGT Uzzi - bridge work, trashcans, leaderboard, semi-trailer, guardrail VLM - zepplin James Burroughs- Ferris Wheel
Based on the work by SergioLoro, Goggles Pisano, and Denis Rioux. beta release modified by and NormHart and myself Many objects by James Burroughs And a lot of stuff from the great GPL community CAMS by TaufikP Loading screens by Gunnar333 A special mention goes to DKutz who not only shared his memories of this track but sent NormHart
his copies of the original race programs from the 24 hours of Daytona 1969, 1970, and 1971.
Thompson Raceway 1962 - Connecticut USA by BDibble342

History, Photos, track maps etc. from: www.coldplugs.com , an all around great site for local ( to New England) road racing history!
Thompson Raceway, in northeastern Connecticut, was originally built as a 5/8 mile banked oval on leased land by a couple of brothers who were serious racing enthusiasts. One owned a construction firm and wanted to keep his men busy towards the end of the depression. Later, he kept them busy building the Massachusetts Turnpike.
George Weaver was the prime mover in converting the track to a road racing course. He was an original SCCA member and had the first competition license issued by the club. He arranged to lease additional land, and became the track's general manager (and secretary, and treasurer....). The "new" 1.5 mile track opened in 1952, and was subsequently expended several times. The 2 mile configuration was constructed in 1956 and used until 1967. Spectators and participants loved the place, and there was much wailing and weeping when it closed in 1967 (the oval is still used for some NASCAR events). After the Weavers closed the 2 mile track in 1967 a 1.7 Mile road course was built by the owners of the property the oval occupies, using parts of the "old " 2 mile track, events were held there until 1977 after which road racing at Thompson was discontinued permanently.
A new Monthlery project by Philcout next to be released....Still WIP
Tres joli celui là, il me parait beaucoup mieux reussi que la version pour GPL
