Before saying anything else I really want to apologize to Gui for what happened because everyone here knows it isn't really my style to crash into others specially when fighting for the lead. My car slipped under braking and went to the grass; I tried to slow it down as I could but it was impossible to avoid contact at same point. Damaged my car really bad and had an eternity time waiting in the pits (had time for a smoke :D ). After that I pushed as hard as I could and was constantly doing 1:35:5, 1:35:6.
But as I was expecting I was pusghing too hard from me and the crash was inevitable. I'm just happy to see that I'm in my top shape again ( I think) and to see that befroe I quit Gui was leading the race. Hope you m8, you deserve it, and sorry again Embarassed

You should add this to your files in Rfactor. Something's wrong today with the matchmaker

Je m'excuse d'ailleurs auprès d'une Ligier (Sorry to the driver of the Ligier I've hit at the hairpin) que je tape au freinage de l'épingle.

Me voici 5eme.

Yiiihhaaaa! My first victory at HSO! What a great feeling! I hope that Berny is proud of me and will give me a good contract for the next season study . Thanks a lot for the congratulations!

The whole race, i was fighting first against pierre, then against tiago and olivier, then against olivier and gui and finally, gui and i drove nearly the whole race within 10 seconds. absolutely great! i made some minor mistakes, but all together, definitely my best race so far.

about 20 laps to the checkered flag, gui was about 8 seconds behind me. he was a little bit faster than me and 6-7 laps to go, he was about 2 seconds behind me and i made a spin in the last corner. so, i was 3 seconds behind him. than, sadly, he had some fuel problems and had to go to the pits. the last five laps would definitely have been pretty interesting, altough i think that you would have won the race because you were faster at that point of the race  .

thanks gui for these fair fights. absolutely great! what you (and tiago) do with that alfa-truck is absolutely amazing!

regards,
mario

Carl: http://www.avast.com/ (download the Home edition) That popup is really funny, that's the right way to make someone spend their money on his products, just kill all their other software, lol

Mario: Congrats, but I somehow feel responsible for my teammate not taking the win after I crashed into him, I was really enjoying driving the Alfa tonight but as always happens in those races that you have to go from back to front, you're not always able to keep the car on track while doing constant flying laps :aie:

Anyway grats for the superb race, you were flying today

And special thanks to all the lapped drivers, which drove very circumspectly and had always an eye in the mirror. Big thanks!

hi pierre,

was nice fighting with you at the beginning of the race. sorry that i once blocked you a little bit when i was going back on the track.

my brabham was a bt49 with cosworth engine in it, but on the straights, it was just a little bit slower than gui`s alfa. i actually expected to be a lot slower than the alfas, but as said, there was just a little difference in top speed and acceleration.

regards,
mario

Wink

Sinon superbe course :banane:

=====================

That was an awesome race :banane:
Right after the start I was battling for the lead with Tiago Mario and Olivier. There was many lead changes following some nice overtakings manoeuvres or because of drivers mistakes. Too bad Tiago crashed, he touched me, Olivier took the lead but my car was still ok.
Around lap 20 I realised I might be short on fuel so I stayed behind Olivier, trying to save fuel and tyres for the end of the race. But Mario was pushing hard behind me and closed a 7s gap in few laps.
We both caugth Olivier around mid race, but he spun at the exit of the first chicane, that gave me the lead. But Mario was right behind me and overtook me a few laps later. Immediatly the pace increased ,Olivier couldn't follow us and my tyres began to slide a lot. Got surprised at the exit of the last hairpin, too much wheelspin and I spun
Got back on track 7s behind Mario and just realised I won't be able to finish the race without doing a fuel stop scratch So I pushed as hard as i could to put some pressure on Mario and hoped I would do a mistake :jp: , that was my only solution to win the race.
It nearly worked as I took the lead with 5 laps to go after Mario spun at the hairpin. But the illusion didn't last long, 2 laps later, I had to pull in the pitlane to take 10L of fuel to finish the race.

I totally screwed my pitstop, got angry and it took me 35 seconds to restart the engine :grrr:
Went out of the pits right behind Olivier and we had a 3 laps battle for the 2nd place. At the very last turn of the race if thought it was over but I underestimated the Alfa power and overtook Olivier in a wild final sprint to the finish line.
Very cruel for Olivier who did a great race.

Congrats to Mario for his very nice win, very fast and constant all race long, no big mistakes and very clean overtaking moves :top:
