Driver required for 24hr sim race

Hi I am entering a team into the L2R 24 hr race. A 24 hr team race on October 24th

This will be a special race because it will be the first using a plugin which allows drivers to reconnect to the race after a disconnection. Thus everyone should be able to finish. There are 24 teams entered.

I need a driver for a very good team (Hatchell Pennine) and I am also looking for drivers on behalf of other teams (ODS, Efnet and others). There is a place for all levels of ability as long as you can get round the track without causing a hazard.

Edit: The race will use WSC 1970 mod for rfactor
The race supports French and English speaking drivers.

Maybe you should have precise this will be the 24 hours of Le Mans, using the WSC 1970 mod for rFactor

Comment se fait il que nous n'en ayons pas entendu parler ici? Ca aurait pu etre sympa d'aligner une équipe non (meme si ce mod est peu apprécié par ici).

J'ai un peu experimenter avec les settings du FF dans mon plr pour avoir un volant moins "léger" et ca me plait déja nettement plus, je dois dire.

At the moment I am looking for a driver and so are a few teams. What times during the 24 hrs you would be available? what language do you speak? and how fast are you? If you want to race I am sure there will be a place for you.

My advertisement was for drivers because the entries for new teams are closed. If you got 4 drivers together and demonstrated that you were dedicated and organised perhaps there might be a way.

I am sorry you werent aware earlier, one reason is that I don't like to advertise on other leagues forums.

Just to be clear, new drivers welcome pm me or register on the forum to express your interest.

Other teams continue to look for drivers.

Post open again. I need a driver again! My no.3 dropped out.

Bit of an emergency now as there is 1 week before the race.

The driver should be able to speak English enough to understand communications about driver swaps. Thats all

Anyone from HSO up for this how about Team HSO i would'nt have minded a shot at this in an Alfa Tipo
dont know if my knee would last that long though still struggling with it .....

It's too late to enter a new team anyway now. Maybe I would have been interested if the track wasnt Le Mans VLM as WSC 70 cars take off at Mulsanne, which is a bit ridiculous imo

Maybe you could do shorter stints so you can rest you knee.

Its too late for an HSO team because there is only a week to go, but we could do with a reserve driver and I have connections with some other teams.

Gaulliame, only the S5000 cars fly at the Mulsanne. If you come and drive for me then you can stay on the ground in the Alfa. Plus the track is modified to be more grippy. Today in qualifying the fastest time was 3.25.

Not enough time to test the driver change aspect of the race
and i dont want to ruin someones else's race ......

I Would love to do a 24hr race one day but 2 hours on my knee
cripples me at the moment .....

If your really really really desperate then i will stand in as a reserve
driver but dont say i did'nt warn you

Try the VLM 77 and the WSC 70 alfa together if you can. I will see if I can get anyone who wants to do it in the next couple of days. The driver swaps are not at all difficult. I can help you do that in 30 mins, its learning the track that takes time because the straight is so long.

I was thinking of entering this and had my name down as a reserve driver
as ive always fancied doing a 24hour marathon race
and 2 of the guys pulled out of what would have been my team for various problems
so would anyone here like to enter in an Alfa Tipo 33...

Have been curious to see how the driver swap thing works as well over a 24hour period .....

Have seen a few HSO drivers enter including Claus Egelund and Yves Placais ,Franck Levassuer,Christoper Blin.....

Looks like i will definatly be driving but dont fancy doing mega long stints so Anyone Please ...

Claus is in the same team as me and Yves is in a team as well.

The best thing is if I get you a place with a team. Do you speak french? If not then it will be efnet in the Matra.

the Matra ill have to do some practice ....

For having race the Matra at Buenos Aires Carl I can tell you it's a very fast car but very difficult one to handle.

Looks like i will be entering this Race providing everything goes ok
and im accepted into a Team ...

Only thing is im going to have to sacrifice the DTM Race this week and maybe Misano
depends how the race goes and weather the wife is still talkng to me LOL !!!!

It will be the last chance i get to practice
for this marathon event .......
Ive always fancied doing a 24hr race
and im looking forward to seeing how it pans out .....
