You're not the only one with that issue and, as far as has been established, it's a track thing. Not sure how to fix it, though.

Yes like Pascal said it seems a few drivers have that issue. My guess is it's due to a compatibility issue between the track, latests rF2 builds and some PCs. I'll try and find a fix for it, will let you know

The race server will be launched in a few minutes, with a 40-minute practice session before qualifying starts at 8:00pm. This way we can all practice and lay a bit of rubber on track

I'm so glad I checked the HSO forum two weeks ago! I knew that it still exists, but I had no idea it's properly alive. I take part in several championships this year, from 80s to current machinery (F1, GT3, WEC Endurance, etc). But what I really enjoy is 50s-70s, naturally aspirated, little/no aero. HSO has literally saved my 2023 season
Navigating a D-Type around Monaco alone is a challenge, but I enjoyed every single minute of it. For these occasions I have my gated shifter and a beautiful 15 inch wooden steering wheel. It may not be the fastest way to drive such cars, but it just feels so right! Just like with 1958 F1 with ISO last year. If you enjoy 50s/60s, I highly recommend to buy a properly huge wooden wheel
I did some practice and noticed, that most people use only two gears (except for the tunnel) and rev it up to 8k. It felt like a torture to the engine, but it was fast, obviously. Qualified 12th and I was thinking "if I finish, let's do it with dignity and end up in top 10". Soon it was clear that attrition is high and there was potential for a decent finish. Indeed, halfway through I was 4th and decided to play it safe. I started to shift at 7k (which meant that 3rd gear was engaged on four places instead of just one) and went a bit slower through the chicane. Ironically, it caused a momentary lapse of concentration and I made my only significant mistake in Massenet, just as Jon was about to pass me. Thankfully, there were no big consequences, the Jag is a well built vehicle for sure. The rest of the race was relatively uneventful, but driving around Monaco is always fun. P2 is certainly more than I expected, more than I deserved based on my speed, but I'll take it, anyway. The strange thing is that my feet hurt pretty bad which is weird, as I barely feel them. No doubt, it was an exhausting experience.
Just like me, HSO has survived its death and we're both doing pretty damn well these days. Thank you Frank (and everybody involved)! Can't wait for Spa

Good, too good! Congratulations to the HSO for running a fantastic race! I woke up with a hangover after a night of celebrations with Enzo Rerrari and the team at parties. First points scored by official team, bringing breath to the house of Maranello. Honestly, I anticipated carnage! 32 cars lined up on the streets of Monte Carlo seemed to me the announcement of a tragedy. 17th place in qualifying, despite all my efforts in more than 400 laps of preparation, only showed me the difficulty in control the monster that is the Ferrari 375 Plus. Following Darren's training sessions in his Mercedes, I could clearly see that Ferrari was in a difficult environment for her, he could only make the tightest corners by imposing torque and making the rear of the car slide while the Mercedes it gently contoured the same curves. I was cautious at the start, gave up a position at the entrance to Sainte Dévote and didn't push until the tires were up to temperature proper use. Soon I found myself in a dispute with the Purchase and the Jaspers until I managed to overcome them by the power of the engine, since in the curves, the lightweight 2 Liters got around easier. Caution was the word I used to say to myself all the time, because in training, I hadn't been able to do more than 25 laps without have an accident and the race would be a long 60 laps. After losing control, John Cook came quickly and joined our group but I think he made another mistake and it hit the rear of my car as I turned the Gazométre, leaving me wedged against the wall. As a result, I lost the positions I had gained and had to patiently strive to regain them. With a few more overtakes and retirements from other competitors, around halfway through the race I was in 7th place. On lap 46, I made the only mistake of the whole race and it cost me dearly, when I gave way to someone who was putting a lap ahead of me, I made Massenet a lot on the outside and lost control of the car, hitting the inner wall and bending the suspension, getting the steering wheel bent. I went slowly to the pit and it was 130 seconds of repairs and almost 2 laps lost. I got back on track and still managed to get one lap back on Purchase, but he still had more one lap ahead and it was there, in 9th place that I finished the race, 5th place in my class and the first 2 points in the championship. Now it's waiting anxiously for SPA, where Ferrari will be able to show the power of its engine and I my resilience and perseverance, as speed was never my skill. Congratulations to Rhys on his brilliant victory. Thanks to Petr for second place and patience in overcoming this old man here and Bayer for third place.
