Might be cool to have the Eve and Spark F1 and F2 cars for hotlapping some day.

I was about to suggest the ASR cars, they're some of my favourites. There are actually a lot more than just 2 cars though: https://www.asrformula.com/simulator/rfactor2/free-cars-rf2/?products-per-page=all

the ASR mod is exellent! test it for another platform but on Assetto Corsa , the Williams is the fastest on AC. We chose the 1988 version Monza circuit. On Rfactor2 the AI is at 1.25 to 120% and I am 1.29 on the Monza 88.

Michal, I don't find them that different to most other formula cars, and I don't bother too much with dampers and springs and that sort of thing anyway, the gains are too marginal for me.

But isn't finding a good setup part of hotlapping? For me - it surely is - and I am quite bad at setups. People tend to share setups here - why worry allready Michal ?
Mark L. or somebody else who has some knowledge can sure share some.

the car will certainly require more serious settings on Rfactor2 than on Assetto Corsa because the preset for Assetto is just exellent, after I use the shifter it's just enjoyable !!

I will try to share my setting with the Mac Laren on the Monza88, after I am convinced that it can be interesting on the Kyalami, in addition there are several cars with different behavior, to see ...

Hi Folks It would be really cool if the community decided on the schedule for cars and tracks... Initially, the idea was just to run Kyalami but I get that this gets boring. First prize for me was to be presented by a list of car/track combos which we could run as me alone making the call is not effective and unfair. So, with Frank's OK first, let's have a list on here which we can adhere to. Vadim, Mark, Francois, Michal = would be super if you guys combined to push out a cool roster... Thoughts... PV
PS My excuse is we are starting a team from scratch simrace247.com

On another note
We also have a full-time Assetto Corsa server to play on which we have o Rackservice The idea was to try and synergies it with what HSO Kyalami was running so we could do proper back to backs because AC is very impressive content-wise, much more user friendly than rF2 and very drivable online.
Example: Ferrari 312T at Monza 1966 on rF2 Ferrari 312T at Monza 1966 on AC
Run these concurrently and it will allow our guys to sample both platforms, could also run HSO races on there.... Just a thought as we sit in lockdown.

@PaulVelasco the idea of the hotlap is very well see essential for a community, I am convinced that it is necessary to change the combination every two weeks circuit and car. As a beginner, I am looking for settings that the best pilots should share in order to work with, sharing is not enough.
We have to use the experience of the strongest to give more quality so that we have fewer differences during the races. We are aware that talent is not shared and it is good to start on a good basis and understand why.
Paul, you did not make a mistake by choosing the Indy 2020 mod it is an excellent mod recognized by many good reviews. We propose and you decide in consultation with the staff. The criteria are obviously that the combination is historic. thank you and bravo for your work.

what are the historical tours available? : https://database.motorsportmagazine.com/database/championships/champcars/1985-cartppg-indycar-world-series
Unless I am mistaken, there are two left:
Road America : https://database.motorsportmagazine.com/database/races/1985-road-america-champ-cars Mid-Ohio : https://database.motorsportmagazine.com/database/races/1985-mid-ohio-champ-cars
PS : it is also necessary to alternate the eras and not to remain on specific class, here is my opinion as a beginner.

I'd love to suggest some, there's just so many to choose from though. Anything from 70's onwards is my preference so that doesn't narrow it down very much . Same thing with tracks, I'll try anything really and go with the majority. Would be cool to do some of the ASR cars at some of the classic and modern F1 tracks though.

Marc, from what year can we say that the cars are modern? in France, cars go into collection from thirty years after their manufacture. Cars after 2010 would be considered modern? But I came to HSO mainly for the mods of the 1950s / 60s / 70s / 80s / 90s. With "steering wheel speeds" we have switched to modernity .

I did say "classic and modern F1 tracks", I wasn't referring to cars there. You can decide yourself what are considered modern tracks. Sorry for any confusion

you are right to specify, with virtual races we can do what we want, old cars on modern circuits and modern cars on old circuits. the advantage of virtual races is to revive events with for example circuits that have disappeared or change. For me the historical correspondence is fundamental. After I respect the different desires.
