| There won't be a full Endurance championship that is certain, but Opens will most likely be held, yes . As for older content : yes, most definitively one of the objectives. Several options are considered as of now, from the 1930s, the 1950s and the 1960s, and not necessarily Grand Prix cars either... But mods have to be thoroughly tested and weighted before any kind of announcement is made. All in good time . _________________ Thou shalt not train.

Nothing like a good ol' Franco-Iberian love in.......I was half expecting Frank to refer to "us" members, as the children....and with all the "requests" popping up here and there, would not seem too inappropriate?
......We except for the are gonna miss you guys when, we are gone in 48 days....Bet you will al be glad to see the back of us...bunch af narcissistic entitled work shy folk.
that was not too political was it?............oh and btw......aye....Endurance Champ.....don't be put off by past experiences. _________________

| lol Mick I'm confused now are you talking about Brexit or the split ? Or both ? Regarding Endurance championships there are several things that weight against them to my mind at least. - one major one is that driver swaps are still not optimized, not to mention the impossibility to rejoin after a disco - would hate to have a championship decided on that kind of incident. - as an admin, as satisfying as it is to gather a 15/20 car field for an Endurance race, you always think you would have had twice that number of cars starting if the race was a shorter one (which is not necessarily true, but still). - endurance tends to be multi-class as well, so fields are often furthermore divided into two or more tiny groups of cars with big performance gaps between the groups. All in all it doesn't make for such awesome racing most of the time. - servers can be an issue too, anything above 6 hours/1000 km is asking for trouble and server crashes. If you have followed iRacing's pathetic attempts at doing Daytona 24 events for instance, you understand how we - with just a fraction of the budget and manpower they have - are reluctant to venture into such endeavours... Having said that, maybe a middle ground will be a championship comprising both solo and endurance races, I don't know - still too early to tell as of right now . _________________ Thou shalt not train.

Thanks for the offer François I was thinking about contacting you anyway, and will do so soon . Riverside was always one of my favourite tracks ever, both as a simracer and a fan, so thanks for the notice. As for JP, we are but small potatoes to his eyes I'm afraid now ! His work these last years was used not only by pro racing teams and drivers, but also was featured on Fox broadcasts of NASCAR events , as his ArtStation page mentions. Truth is all of us founders have lost contact with him since a while now, but you never know... _________________ Thou shalt not train.

. In my humble and modest opinion, and with the little experience , I think that to reduce the duration in a reasonable way may be a good solution, a race (even more championship) can still put off if too long ... _________________

Not that we have never done it before (1976 IMSA comes to mind) but if we can avoid shortened race lengths we'd rather go for that. Something like a 2.4 hours of Le Mans rubs us the wrong way . I mean, if we reduce real enduros to the size of long solo events we might as well just do long solo events, for the sake of accuracy. Another option is series in which two drivers share a car but in races not as long as Endurance races, because after all the best thing about Endurance is sharing the experience with someone, and there are plenty of race series in history in which car sharing does not necessarily mean races of 6 hours or more. _________________ Thou shalt not train.

| Well, reading the previous enthusiastic and democratic exchange of suggestions and proposals I was almost expecting the imminent proclamation of the next republic here at this thread , but since it seems to be about to continue, I would respectfully ask for it to be locked instead of hijacked. I admit it was our fault not to close it after posting, and when we thought about it, it was too late. As Mick's post suggests, whatever we say here is bound to cause unnecessary sourness by whoever can read it wrong. We have already stated from both sides that we are not starting a war or competition for members, or whatever, we are just setting up our own vision of how we want our league to be. Forgetting to close it was our fault, we just wanted to make an announcement and leave in peace and good terms with everyone. I'm sure Frank will think of ways to open to the community a way of input into HSO's activities for 2020, there's no need to keep it here. _________________ | |

| Yes, agreed and done Some members might not have had time to react or might have not read the news yet, so I have created a thread in which questions regarding the future of HSO will be answered. As always, suggestions are always welcomed as well. It is NOT however a thread in which to vent about the reasons behind the split or to start any drama regarding this decision. Thanks. The thread is located here _________________ Thou shalt not train.

| Well the time has come. Our tenure at HSO is now over, and we move onto ISO from here on out. Thanks for letting us 'handle the reigns' it's been a great pleasure and i thoroughly enjoyed the past 5 years of being an admin and the 2 years before that just being a competitor, I admined my first full champ in 2015 how time flies! I hope you've all enjoyed the content we created and championships we ran during the time i was an admin. I wish HSO the best on it's next journey. Take care all and have a great Christmas. I hope to see many of you next year at ISO. _________________ | |

| Time flies indeed Best of luck to the new admin team, it seems our combined rF2/AMS offering is nowadays the most complete and realistic historic simracing proposal around, so I hope to see many people enjoy it next year and hopefully new blood pouring in. See you all on track _________________ | |

| It was a fantastic year for me. The new computer compensated a little for the advancement of my age. I want to thank all the managers for providing amazing championships in spectacular mod's. Excellent as organizers where I feel honored to race with top level drivers. 2020 will be new to me with rfactor2 and the new HSO team. As for ISO, I will feel at home, I know the ability and talent that will run the championships and I will be there. I want to wish you all a harmonious Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
