Hello Cesar and welcome to HSO! If you want to drive, either have a look at the Entry List thread which can be found here: http://historicsimracing.123.st/t4197-1995-adac-super-tourenwagen-cup-entry-list and pick up any free car if you want to commit to the full championship. If you want to try the cars out in Racing Conditions, then specify which free car (mentioned as TBA in the opening post of this thread) and the car will be yours for this round and you will then be able to ask for a full time drive after the event if you want to commit to the championship then.

| Major fuck-up on my side. My work times don't allow me to race in Wednesday races as I'll only be home around 9:30 PM. I'd like to pull out of this race and therefore the whole season before it even starts. I'll also post it on the Entry list again so that it's fully clear. | |

That's unfortunate to hear. Hopefully someone else will take on the Audi 80 challenge. The Mondeos seemed to have plenty of takers.

| To avoid problems with mirrors, we're asking all BMW drivers not to be on the server between 18h55 and 19h05 (Paris Time).
The server will be relaunched at 19h00. This will allow us to join with a car other than a BMW first.
We will post on the forum when the BMW's can enter the server again.
Thank you for your cooperation.

| Is the Audi 80 fast in this mod? I only remembered the A4 watching this series a long time ago. | |

| It has less power than the A4. When I tested it, I was a bit slower than with the 4x4 Mondeo. | |

Well if you start tonight with the A4, we won't let you swap cars as per the rules. We will only allow swap in exceptional circumstances.

Well if you start tonight with the A4, we won't let you swap cars as per the rules. We will only allow swap in exceptional circumstances. Pardon my ignorance/hole in my head......but, could you remind me of the purpose of this rule...... And, if it is going to take more than £/$/Wheres the Euro symbol/or blowin smoke u some1's butt, can I be so bold to give my take? yes?....ok......... So, recently, I and I am sure others, have found themselves not knowing whether they are going to have time in the not so near future, to have time to practice, or even to test the cars. So, in haste, they go for the most competitve, or one that they have "effection" for in rwal life but as the season progresses, they realise, that in the virtual world (or due to Wilke's crazy tire modeling-sry, could not resist it.....calm down folks, I am jokin!!) the car does not meet their expectations.....so as the rules do not permit changing, they loose interest out of frustration, and quit the series.......... So, from my POV, I had my eyes on the 80, but a) it had gone, and, anticipating being pushed for time, I chose the A4, to steal the best setups, due to limited time..... Anyway....somink to chew on, next time Le Gros Fromage have their next Pow-Wow.

| Well Mick, since you asked so nicely (and even compliment me cough ) i think i can answer that for you. Besides the role playing aspect, and the belief that most people pick their favorites from the start, there is also the very practical aspects for the admins of making the results and championship calculations and tables easier and making sense, and also to avoid people from "hoping" around trying to find a more competitive ride. As you can imagine, the second aspect can be of special importance, because its hard to prove that you are not changing just because you want a faster car, and allowing such moves light heartedly can nullify all the work put into the pre season to balance the field. Still, you are right that time contraints sometimes don't allow people to make the best choice for themselves, and we are always ready to evaluate the cases one by one, and even be more lenient about this in future championships, depending about how the car selection process was. | |
