Formula 1 Race Director, Starter and myriad other Technical positions holder, Charlie Whiting died early this morning, March 14th in Melbourne, Australia after suffering a Pulmonary Embolism. He was preparing for this weekends 2019 Season opener, he was 66.

Indeed very shocking. Couldn't believe it when I read this this morning. I'm sure his absence will be felt in the days, months and years to come. RIP.
