| Must be doing pretty badly as my rear end just wears out and I can't safely slow for brake zones that aren't straight.
And even if they are, I am doing something wrong.
At least I did a good job to survive.

| It would seem so so we'll do a count-back to lap before the mass-disco. | |

| Well done Rob for your Honda win in race 1: To finish first first you have to finish Race 1: I made a big mistake on lap 2 while being on Grant's tail. I nudged the inside barrier in the chicane and went off sideways, lost a lot of time and some 2 laps later I was behind Bruno and had a massive crash with him. Looking at the replay you were braking far too early and at a weird spot there Bruno. Sorry anyway. Shame because I landed on my roof thinking the race was over but somehow the car flipped on all fours again and I could race on eventually being 10th when almost all of us got disconnected on lap 16. Real shame because I was very close to a group of cars who were fighting for 7th Race 2: Had a nice pole but started bad and almost lost 2 places at the start. I have to say @Honza you were a bit too cautious there...you do not have to be afraid fighting another Peugeot Thanks anyway for handing me the lead in T2 After that I created a gap of around 4-5 seconds to Richard Wilks. I could not stretch it more because Richard was doing a really good pace there. Very happy with my first Peugeot win! Too bad Grant was not there.. Thx to the admins and see you all next race | |

| Results, replays and points are posted on HSO website.
For Race 1 the countback stopped at the start of lap 15 because the first disconnections occurred during lap 15. The lapcount isn't entirely right but the positions should be correct. If there are any questions, please send me a private message.

| Another evening, another double win in Independents. The short Silverstone isn't my preferred track and Dave Miller made a better job of qualifying by snatching 11th place for race 1 in his Vauxhall, with me back in 15th. Thankfully for me he botched his start and I got the jump on the rows in front, which meant I had Dave already behind me heading in Copse. I had a few works cars serving as buffer but once they were gone I had a battle on my hands. Dave got in front, I retook it, and with all the discos we had the track all to ourselves. The countback handed me the win, and 8th overall, but at least I earned it on track as well by fending off the Vauxhall threat. Race 2 was much easier. Starting from 10th with Dave 15th, and dropping to the back of the field early on allowing me to cruise home with a huge lead. Dave made the best of a bad situation and still got second in Independents, whilst I finished 10th overall. | |

| Silverstone...i hate Silverstone Fourth place quali was great for me in the Race 1, but when i was overtaking my team mate i was too long at T2, and after returning to track i hit concrete tires. Silverstone hates me too. Second place in second quali was great surprise...but i forgot change tires. Damn. So after some nice and clean battles i was 5 but then somebody hit me and send me off track and i lost another 3 spaces. After driving on the edge my Peugeot skated on the 7th place. Silvertone hates me too. Sorry Peter for team points, I have let you go because i knew that i had bad tires. Gratz to podium, thank you HSO for great racing! See you atd Oulton | |

| That was another difficult evening of racing and admining. Q1: The event started ok, had a very good qualifying session to line up 3rd on the grid. It would seem that the Volvo is a bit too stiff or has too much Power in the low end to have it work well enough around Silverstone Int, despite Kelvin Burt taking Volvo's 1st win of '96 in the 1st race in the real life event... R1: So lined up 3rd, I had a decent launch but Honza on the inside line had the shorter distance to T1 and I sensibly backed off, had I tried to stay around the outside I'm fairly sure I would have been on the wrong side of the cerbing the way the Peugeot launched past me. I backed off a bit too much so couldn't re-claim the position going down into Beckets. Soon after though Honza was off and not long after Grants' unfortunate wheel issue saw me move up to 2nd because Rob got past me in a good move as I remember it. I was struggling with keeping the tires from locking up, hence me talking about the Volvo being a bit too stiff. It wouldn't properly transition well enough to keep the weight spread over the whole car, so I was locking up the right rear especially and soon as a very bouncy ride on flat-spotted tires. Then, as I was being reeled in by David Jaques and Yves, the server decided to hick-up and throw us all out. So on count back, I now know I could settle on 2nd Place, Congratz Rob on your win, that Honda was flying yesterday as well as to David and Yves, you guys finally got the Beemers to work well. Q2: This session was a lot more hectic due to the server issue. Came into it on the wrong foot and with everyone else improving I couldn't do the same and lined up 6th I think it was. R2: With all the stuff going on and me trying to improve the car for Race2, which I succeeded at, I had miss-saved the setup with 10 litres in the car and only noticed with a couple of seconds left until the formation lap. That was my hunt for points more or less done for but I decided to go hell for leather, just like at Donington, to see how far up the field I could get. Had a couple of scraps along the way, special thanks to Marc, Simon and Cezariusz for those. In the end I could catch up about 15-18 seconds on the guys in the points but with a car that wasn't quite there, compared to Donington, I couldn't do enough to score points. In terms of the Championship I'm in luck though as both Grant and Petr struggled as well, so overall I was able to extend my lead by a few points this time around as well. Hopefully we'll have a completely clean race server/admin side at Oulton so we can all enjoy that absolutely brilliant race track | |

| The Audi is set with the weight penalty that the RL series imposed after a few rounds from the very start of our own.
The Volvo has, unless Richard added some in the update, the same weight as earlier.
