No idea how Grant is doing 18.1's and Tiago 18.6's I worked my ass off to get a 18.9. I'm hoping tows were at play and a maximum grip track were a influencing factor
If not it certainly lets me know for next year which cars they cannot have.

I would guess that track grip might play a huge part with these cars. One slide and you are losing a lot of time. Also exactly how much you cut in the chicanes must make a big difference.

I hope that’s not implying anyone is cutting..
I was on 1/3 wings. It’s quicker than 1/2. But then changed to 1/1 wings and did an 18.9 on a completely green track. Changed my gearing, bump settings and stiffened the rear suspension and got it down to an 18.1 on a rubbered track
The gearing is crucial..you have to mainting speed and momentum through the entirety of the track

No one's implying. You can't cut it anyway, he means just hitting the right amount of kerbing that is legal before the game rips your head off for exceeding track limits.
I've been on 1/1 from the off, changed my gears today and found a good 0.7 secs. But i'm guessing your suspension allows you to corner at much quicker speeds than me. The race will be different though.

It’s allowing me to change the direction of speed and weight much faster through the first Esses and then through the last chicane. That and gearing I find is so important

I also think there is a larger difference between the cars than one would expect. At my humble mere mortals level, I had been driving my nuts of in the Spitzley March to get into the high 1.22's. Then I jumped in to the Angeleri March Racing car (listed with a 6 bhp advantage) for some laps using the setup I had put together for the Spitzley car and was down in the 1.21's within the space of 5 laps.
I can only figure the different car as reason for that gain.

The Brown engine is worst of all. On a power track like this, you will really feel the difference in both top end speed and acceleration.
I managed about the same topspeed in both cars but the Angeleri indeed seemed to accelerate up to that speed much smoother and quicker than the Spitzley car. I used a lengthened 5th to get a higher top speed and the Spitzley was suffering all through the Seagrave - Noble- Goodwood section to pull the revs while as the Angeleri reved much quicker.

I don't know if my car sucks or not, didn't test any other car, but I had trimmed my car in such way to get the max speed but every braking I scream and feel like to jump of the car because I can't stop it!! I should know better, Martini is a drink not a car. No wonder there aren't many around in the top 15. People skip practicing when they see the car name and start drinking and never put a lap!!!!
Did anybody tested draft in this mod? I have a feeling that racecraft will be crucial for this race. If you are in a fast group just stick to it using the draft to get far from people behind. If you try to outbreak someone you both will lose momentum and will lose contact to the group, draft advantage and so on....
We will see.....

I'd rather you keep the March if I'm honest. We need to see how the race goes before even considering any possible allocations. Nothing stopping you practicing offline though.

I've had a Boot Disk failure on my desktop. So I've gone from a yes to a possibly? for Sunday. I'm hoping to get a new one in the next couple days and get it in and Windows installed. Thankfully, my system uses an SSD as a Boot disk and and has a separate 3TB HD for everything else, so I shouldn't have really lost anything.
I'll let you know Saturday evening whats going on....
