It is the first time i have ever had the game freeze on me,or any game for that matter,i play battlefield1 with no probs for hours, although i havnt tried it since last windows update KB4090913 on 6th march, just seems weird that Martin had exactly same problem at nearly same time.

saw it last race and didnt say anything, saw it again this race, when you spin, hold the brake.  rolling back into traffic is not a sportsman thing to do.

Finally,

I had very hard week, I didnt manage to sit and check the replay, until yesterday afternoon.

So, first of all, David, i appologise if I caused any damage to you and your race.. I hope you know it was not on purpose. Even after few years here, Im still very stressed and excited with every race, and before all, affraid not to ruin somebodys race by some stupid mistakes. But it happens, and it will, beceose its obviously stronger than my driving skill and state of mind during races..

I guess your comment was on my behalf David, but I have to admit, after checking the reply, Im not sure what is you are talking about. We met on track only once during race, when you passed me, I think we had a little touch, but it was not becose I spun..

After checking it all, it turnes out I spun only once, and crashed, and during that spun only mr. Martinelli passed, while I was not moveing at all.. after that spin I pited for repair, and right after exiting pits, I quited becose the car was not drivable..

I really dont know for South African race, but I asure you that when it comes to spinning, I am doing my best not to damage anybody arround me. Upon restarting I try to be as sure as possible that nobody is comming my way, but even then it can happen that somebody shows up..

Again, I appologise if you were affected in any way by my errors... and Im sorry for such late reply, I was just out of any free time to make any..

it doesn't matter who it was, the message is for everyone. with the only hope for as few incidents as possible in the races to come.

No screenies this time? scratch

Anyway, my strategy to take it easy worked really well. Unlike Raul, who shot up to 11th(nice), I even dropped one or two places trying not to damage my car.

I was not really in a place to overtake anyway. Apart from the tight track, the car's simply the weakest on the grid(whoever said on BC at Kyalami that it was the easiest to drive hasn't heard of Sir Jackie, who said it was the worst car he ever drove, even ahead of the V16 BRM) that is very difficult to drag up the field.

Apart from passing Jason Whited, nothing really happened.

Well, someone spun between T5 and T6, after which I went alongside with Brian Janik. Looks like we both missed a shift, but when we went towards the turn, I noticed Brian was taking no prisoners and about to turn coldly into the turn so I backed off. Him tangling with Juha later kinda confirmed that for me :D

I spun twice over the course of the race, once when Grant was about to lap me(how are you and Greg doing this times by locking your brakes everywhere? Your tyres should be square by now Shocked ) and finally on the last lap, when I was trying to catch Wilksy while driving with flatspots myself.

It looked like Richard had damage and I was catching him because of it, but it wasn't quite enough to catch him in the end.

I am very happy I finished 6th and got a point this time :banane:

Just missing the battling a bit.

Btw: Out of all the facts and historical moments of the 1975 Spanish GP, Jason forgot to mention one.

Who can name it without looking it up on Google?

Lella Lombardi. Purely mathematically, she did not get points. Not even one entire point. She came home sixth and only got a half point as a result of the race being shortened due to, I think, Stommelen's accident.

Just want to give my congratulations to all racers, watching online I was afraid of the T1 carnage, a difficult T1 at a difficult track. It was just beautifull and got me proud of simracing.

Nice read :top:

Some comments:

Quote :
Which did not prevent him from designing the Matra MS10 before he even turned thirty. A car that would guide Jackie Stewart to his first driver’s world championship.

Stewart won in the previous MS80 IIRC

Quote :
The Spanish have a way of considering certain things sacred. Their siesta is one such thing. And so, to not disturb the siesta, the race started at 11h 30 in the morning, rather than the usual 2h 00 pm.

The reason why the GP was advanced is that at the Barcelona Arena there was an important bullfighting event at 17.00, and promoters wanted the spectators to be able to switch there from the GP and attend both.

True. He won the first Grand Prix of 1969 still in the MS10 though Very Happy .

That about the bull fighting is certainly true. Will maybe rework that in the final version of the report. Thanks for the info Alberto.
