Well, got AMS today, installation wasn't a problem, but now Steam is applying an update to AMS for hours and not starting the game...?

Yeah your spot on. It didn't look like you guys were going to move to AMS anytime soon so I did a little compiling with the physics I believe Sky did and the Ferrari you guys added.

I could register, but I think it's because I already have an account on the Crashday forums, which are built on the same forum platform as the ISO one.
But the issue is, you need to set a nickname first, register with that one and after you're done, edit your profile and change your display name to your IRL one.

Same happened to me when I tried to register my full name. It only allows for 9 characters, IIRC. Anything more and it won't take.

Maybe it is not the best thread here, but...anyone here having GTX 1080 and troubles with AA in automobilista (and rFactor too)? I have no AA and fullHD on 32´LCD it looks horrrrriiiiibleeeee I have the same experience with GTX 980Ti and GTX 780Ti in rF1 some time ago...looks like nVidia dont like graphic part of Gmotor

Yes, it's an Nvidia problem.

Easily fixed if you know your way around your card a bit.  
Few moments, I'll dig up the solution and post it in the comment.  

Must have Nvidia profiler to fix this, by the way.  So go ahead and grab that if you don't have it.

Solution:

"I tried new video drives, reinstalling DX9c, and a wide range of other control panel settings changes both in the game and in the NVCP all to no effect. What I finally found to work was using NvidiaProfileInspector to set the AA Compatibility bits. In the past this was not needed, and the value could remain at the default 0x00000000. Now it needs one of several that end with 40, 41, or C1.

ETA: For rFactor....same solution. Make sure to create a profile for each sim in the Nvidia profiler before editing...and make sure to apply the changes before exiting (something I'm personally bad for forgetting..then go into game and wonder why nothing has changed...lol)

I am not only one and usualy no solution for many driver, the stutters are tearing a lot , interesting that in much more graphicaly better (AC,PC, PC2) these problems dont ocur

You obviously just need to get your settings right as it is not a game wide problem, it is something in AMS that is clashing with your system.

Have you tried all of the suggestions in the thread you have posted?
To name a few:
- Turning time scale and shadows off (Just to see if this stops the issue) 
- Using a different force feedback setting (This solved Jason White's issues)
- Turning DynHUD off
- Running in admin mode
- Running in Windowed mode
- Have a look at this thread too, they also had issues with a 3 screen setup and it was solved by closing another program, TSNotifier in this instance : http://www.racedepartment.com/threads/fps-drop-after-new-triple-screen-setup.128418/
- Are your GFX cards up to date?

Give us more info and we may be able to help.

Persistent chatter...as in, sound effects chatter?

Open the AMS config and look at the sound options. The last update reset all that to default as they were messing around with some audio stuff. You'll notice it when you open the config file.

Also a good idea to delete your Steam downloads cache and your AMS plr profile after updates. Seems every time I don't do that I have an issue that is solved in that way. Recommended by Reiza, but I kept skipping all that until I figured out how important it can be. (And how it can fix some weird issues sometimes that would seem not tied together)

The season pass includes everything. 38 euros is what I paid for it, not sure if you can get it cheaper.

The price is ok for me... i ask because AC was discounted for a week a very low price.
