A Charles Deutsch styled Panhard that entered 24h Le Mans in 1964. Driven by Pierre Lelong and Guy Vernier. The car retired around 4 a.m. due to transmission failure. But what a beaut...

It is available for GTL, and soon for GTR2 too! That actual skin even.

One of the very last private entries in Grand Prix racing, the RAM Racing Williams FW07 of daddy's son Rupert Keegan at Brands Hatch in 1980 :

Michael you are a man of taste - SJ is, has always been and will always be my favourite driver ! Boy do I have memories with that beautiful Onyx !
Aw, thank you! Though people say, I got a taste for the weird. 1989 was the year I actively started following motorsports, and I sure admired SJ efforts back then. And then the team boss/owner... I came a bit late for the Rial and Zakspeed of the same year, which happen to be the last F1 cars designed and built in Germany, the first the last one to score points, the other the last to qualify

Haha yes Jean-Pierre van Rossem was one crazy mofo indeed ! Incidentally I was forwarded this video a few days ago, with Onyx founder Mike Earle telling a few stories about JPVR - rather hilarious :
Rial owner Günther Schmidt (Günter ? Schmid ? never was too sure about that) was quite a character too, although by 1989 he had adopted a rather low profile compared to his ATS days . The Brunner-designed Rial was a very neat little car, it was nice to see Danner do so well with it

Then along came Peter Monteverdi(together with Karl Foitek) and destroyed a lot of what he had built up in his life and led to the demise of his car collection...
Yep, the Rial was neat, it had one big issue though: The fuel tank was too small due to the design.

God yes I hated that Monteverdi/Foitek gang ! A damn shame how the Onyx adventure ended .
Yes indeed about the Rial's fuel cell that was its downpoint and cost Cesaris a few results due to late race fuel starvation (Canada '88 being one I think ?).

Rial's problem was never the car, but the whole organisation... Yep, Günther Schmid was quite some guy...
