| A little known F1 : F1 as in the top category of BRISCA racing Stock Car racing as it is understood in the UK, i.e. specials build with stock parts and raced on small dirt ovals. Derek Warwick started racing on such cars if memory serves. _________________ Thou shalt not train.

Timo Was there a 3rd gen Manta? Opel Manta B, Kissling prepared 255 hp 2 litre (bored out from 1.8l) engine with a 16 valve head donated form a Kadett GSi. Carbon fibre hood, front fascia, doors, trunk lid and dashboard, Sequential 6 speed gearbox, Porsche master cylinder, Mercedes C-class radiator Drexler LSD and a couple more modern goodies. Weight 930 kg, still the force in the VLN 2l class, fan favourite, and is able to circles the Nordschleife/GP circuit combi under 9.15. First there was the Manta A: Then there was a Manta B and B2: I think, B2 and B coexisted as of the latter's introduction somewhere around 77. The B was actually marketed as a Manta hatchback. In 1982, both the B and B2 received a face-lift, which could be seen as a third generation. But there are in fact indeed only 2 gens. Gives at least an addtional 10 HP Not to mention this car gets exempted each year as it wouldn't be allowed to start anymore with current emission regulations. _________________ Murray: "JUNDT'S OFF-TRACK AGAIN!" Martin: "That's a replay Murray, he's not even in the race anymore."

Or maybe it was just some racing Mantas that used Camaro parts, seem to remember something about that. As far as I am aware not, two completely different cars, though I wouldn't rule out some people made some crazy stuff. But have a close look at the Manta and the Chevrolet Monza/Buick Skylark. Both completely different platforms with no communality again, but stunning similarity in design. _________________ Real men drive pink cars!

| Chevy also marketed a Monza in the late seventies/early eighties which, in fact, was an Opel Monza with different front.

Timo To add more confusion, its called 'Monza', but the car is actually the Ascona (C, based on the FWD platform) No doubt about that one, though _________________ Real men drive pink cars!

Are you sure that's not an actual picture shooted to the Saoudia. There were 3 emirs in the back, and they have always re-invented the using of moto and cars. In all case, that shot makes speaking. _________________ O.K. Just a little pinprick. There'll be no more aaaaaaaaah!
