Btw: If we change into "wet" mode in the upgrade tab, what does actually happen? Are the tyres just looking like wets, but still handle and wear like dry tyres, right?

I updated Montreal AIW to spread the strting grid out more. Took a lot longer than expected, and it could use more. Not perfect but much better
Problem is painted grid does not match actual spots. can you work with that FD?
We should probably use this for tomorrows race.

mm will be very short time
thing is i can't see the aiw spots in 3dsimed so i have to make the new grid texture by trail and error and everytime load a race to see if all cars are spot on
but if the admins tell me what the time limit is i can do my best tomorrow morning
if not well we have to be carefull and work on it after so its perfect
my goal is to have all 16 tracks in a perfect state you all cooperate very nice to help me out

Please reconsider you comment. We all have real lives, and it doesn't have to be arrogance what prevents using the correct skin, sometimes it's lack of time, good understanding of the language or simple lapse. You gain nothing putting it that way mate.

We actually dont need painted grid for tomorrows race, since we start in position with no formation lap.
But I sent you the File by PM

finaly got it , hockeheim with dynamic shadows now its like on tv in cockpit driving into a green dark tunnel with flickering sun rays its very hard to judge now your braking point , eyes have to tune in several laps , also the race will be have some visual surprises causing by that
ok back to to work cause balestre want me to get rid of the tires walls
and yes i have a feeling for that!

That's gorgeous
I'm lucky my PC couldn't handle that in race though. I hate deeply Hockenheim (even deeper than Monza). Adding the difficulty of the braking point would have just made that absolute purge of a race a greater absolute purge. A nightmarish vision behind what remains a superb realisation

dont worry ludo
the track will be during the race mostly shiny and clear and shadows will not all over the track consistantly but its dynmamic means in the early and later hours the shadows will be more present so after 15.00u you will notice small differences but this is a fast paced track so will be over around 15.20u testing it at 10am or very late in the afternoon you find yourself in a different world:D
the full realife effect and experience ( awesome) is only active when you have set shadows to FULL, at lower settings you still see them but don't interupt vision and by turn them off well then its back where it was...
stay tuned for tonight all

Without sounding like an asshole, will this be the proper version of Hockenheim?
F1SR had a 1990 version, which should be the same layout, only for 91 had the cones and not tires but it was not correct.
For 1990-1991 the chicane at the Ostkurve was located well up the track before the Ostkurve and it was a Left handed chicane, very reminiscent of the old chicane at Monaco.
Actually the Carrara 1988 version is correct, the chicane just needs moved back a little bit.
