Hate that chicane, Nothing at all like the one in real life.
About that Chicane....I was watching a few different people during Q and also after I dropped out of the race. Different cars were behaving very differently through there.
Some guys were bouncing all over the road, others were driving through it like it was as flat and smooth as glass.
Including Gregoire, during Q his car, from my view, was driving over both kerbs and there was no bouncing, no nothing. As I said, it was like it was smooth as glass and flat.

Wooooooo! The Yellow Submarine defeats the Yellow Teapot in Monaco! 2nd HSO win!
I was so close at throwing that one away! After Jonatan spinning in front of me on lap 1, Gregoire, Petr and Richard wrecking, and countless close encounters with lapped traffic, I just had to stay safe to get the win! But no, I had to lose concentration and clip an apex, which bent the steering like hell. I thought I had a puncture, therefore the pit stop. But it didn't help, and now I was behind. At least I had fresh tyres! A hectic hunt followed, and that battle with David was epic. I figured out that he tried to slow in the middle of the corners, so I wouldn't get a run on the next straight, but eventually I was able to just match the distance to him perfectly at St. Devote and got a run up to the Casino. Job: done.
While very nice to secure a win, I acknowledge that this wasn't a win on sheer pace, but on attrition. I was wondering if I would be able to catch Richard if he hadn't crashed. I gained about 4 seconds on him in a few laps at about lap 25-30, but I don't know if that was because of tires, damage, or luck in traffic.
This new ATS model is a bit better than the old car, and I think that faster tracks will fit it more than Monaco. Zolder will be good. However, a big threat is looming: the 79.

Qualifying was more than average, but I knew this car wasn't made for this track. Somewhere in the Twenties.
On lap 1 at Loews, I think I already got a light knock to either my suspension or steering as it felt off afterwards.
But because so many people retired, I moved up onto the podium. After Jacob had pitted and I managed to pass Yves, it was the LEAD for a while.
Jacob got a bit too eager and got too close twice, at St. Devote and Loews. At the second time, the handling got even worse even though it showed no damage, but it's possible in rF1 to receive small damage that doesn't show.
After the contact, the car's handling got even more adventurous and it started to twitch when trying to accelerate out of corners.
At that point, I gave up trying to hold the lead. Grats on the win Jacob, but please be a bit more careful and patient please, you had MUCH better tyres
Happy with , didn't think I'd get anywhere close to that region

great Job Alberto , Richard and Ben ( don t forget him )
Yes very big thanks to the director Ben! Great notes to Alberto and Richard to point out key points and speeds in the race.
I feel much better now having driven some of the other cars after the race. I could have been top 10 in qual with a better car. But not in the Ferrari! OMG I was everywhere in it. The Hesketh was very slippery to drive for me but was very fun albeit slow.

Just watched the broadcast, great stuff as always guys! You were quite harsh on me, heh, but rightly so, I understand your views. I don't think I ever touched David until THAT time at Loews, which was honest mistake at my part. I do not like the NASCAR style "bump n run" tactics. About taking risks, that is how you pass at Monaco, I guess!

I think you and David wanted the win, David played wide car and you broke out the passing spatula a few times. Was awesome to watch but I bet David was saying things in another language not to be repeated here!
The laps where you two caught Yves and were nose to tail all over was awesome. All three of you where amazing. All of you that finished get a big from me!

I actually wasn't. Happy enough to actually lead the race and kinda knew I'd be losing it before the end. Not just because of more damage to either suspension or steering, but because my hards(especially left rear) were too worn to keep up a steady pace, not to mention the traction advantage Jacob had.
But after Loews, I was like "how do you think you can pass me when I already cover the inside line"?
Jonatan knows, he was with me on TS

Thx guys about broadcast feedbacks. But next time, try to dispatch your crashes all along the race. It was impossible to follow and show all these accidents at the beginning of the race. Richard, I give you a tip about chicane : As me, boycott that fucking track which is only able to give us some angers.

Indeed, and at some point we were discussing if we should be starting a F1 trivia quiz and accept calls online to entertaint the audiencie as there was so little action at the track. We had already concluded that displaying Ben in bikini with the wheel-of-fortune was not going to raise our spectators number when at that point fortunately the action took off again

I don't know if Jonatan's message became public or not, but he wrote when we were behind Yves, which annoyed me a bit, didn't read it, just saw that it was in Swedish. But I did indeed intend to wait to attack until we caught up with Yves.
That moment when Jason spun in front of us was quite interesting! I had to stand on the brakes to miss him, therefore the half spin. I did not feel any touch there, nor anywhere else until the Loews moment, it just looked like I used the "passing spatula" on the stream. That was never the case. As for the Loews moment, that was an honest mistake, I'm sorry about that. It is hard to change lanes on that part of the track in this car with locked brakes.

Since you keep commentating, I will throw my 2 cents exclusively as broadcaster and fellow driver (Not as series admin, which I am not):
Your abilities at the wheel are out of question, and I am certain that knowing that the other car was David Jundt played a big role in the risks you took -There are not many other guys you could trust like that, especially at Monaco and with these cars.
But given the pace difference and the way you finally overtook very cleanly, I think that some of the previous moves were unnecessary risks and could have easily ended very wrong. I am speaking mainly considering the situation for David; He could have been taken out as innocent victim if he had not taken special care (And it would have been his right to slam the door and not take that special care).
I don't feel as labelling you as over aggressive driver, simply as a need to have some more patience in this particular situation.
It was a thrilling fight and a nice spectacle, it ended well and my hat is off to david for his sportive take on it.

Sorry if the message I sent to you Jacob was delivered later than it was intended to be delivered.
I sent it to you when you were about 1.5 seconds behind David on the front stretch and about 6-7 seconds behind Yves.
Again, congratulations on a fantastic drive.
And big congrats also to Emmanuel who got the Theo to the finish in the points, I consider that the drive of the race (sorry everyone else) but considering how misshandling that car is, it's deffinitely no mean feat.
The message itself read
"David wonders if you could consider holding off attacks as you are both catching Yves (wrote Placais in the message though)"
