Damit i've done a mistake wrtiting my choice ...wrote 23 instead of 21 .

And I've got the #23 in final . Great. I was already slow and now I've got a car I'm even more slower (between 0.5 at Trento to 1s slower at Indy than with my others choices).

There's no use for one of the slowest driver of this series to align himself in one of the worst car available. Considered the #23 free.

There are many cars slower than the 23. If you are expecting to have fun at the track, you will certainly have it even if not fighting for podiums. But it's your decission.

From my testing the car slower than the Eagle Chevy werer the Mongoose, the Finley, the Vollstedt, the Atlancar and the Coyote Mk3. All others were quicker by nearly half a second (yes even the Eagle 70 was faster)

I wasn't at all hoping to fight for podiums. I'm novice to oval racing and I'm not by far one the fastest driver in HSO (just looked at my poor results in F5000 with the very decent M18. I'm nearly two second slower than ).
So I'll be slow with the worst engine possible on a series where high speed in the essence. Don't think I'll have any fun.

But well I'm eagar to try if you said it's not a so bad car. I'll ride at Texas and see what happened there before making a final decision

I'm glad you reconsidered.

At Trenton (Rounds 2 and 3) the #23 Eagle will probably be quicker than the other cars you tested.

After Indianapolis you have the same power as the Offenhausers in the Atlanta, Eagle 70, Finley, McLaren A, etc, but a much better chassis. 

EDIT: You will certainly be slower at Texas because it is a power track, but at Trenton you will be very close because of your better chassis. At Indy again you might have some problems, but at Milwaukee you have the better chassis. From then on, you are better than any car with the lowest power Offenhausers.

We'll see but my first tests said otherwise . The McLaren and the Kingfish were faster by nearly half a second.

The problem is I found the Cevy block rather sluggish on acceleration. I'm missing some Kph on both straight compared to the Offy and even compared to the Foyt . Seems you've to be extra smooth with that engine to keep up the speed. Not sure I could do that as it means a complete change in my driving style (I'm brutal on the wheel). That's bother me for the interest in race as I fear to be quickly alone in the back (well better that alone in the dark )with a car not suited for me.
For now it will be wait and see

Can someone say what performance the Kingfish 73 can achieve? Is it a Eagle 72, 73?

It's like an Eagle 72 Offy2 Firestone.

There will be extra cars available at most races, for those who want to do single events or just a bunch of them. At Indy there will be many extra cars available.

Hi, never done oval racing, I'd like to give one off drives ago now and then, could you put me on the waiting list please.

Waiting list is for full season rides, if you (also) want one offs while you wait, you have to ask for them in the specific race thread as it opens. There are right now two cars available in the Round 1 thread
