Sorry Simon! I hope you were able to continue.
Not a great race for me, obviously. I spun and beached at the T7 curb a few laps into the race while avoiding some drama ahead and lost 30 seconds. In an effort to make up time, I overcooked it on the next lap at T12, understeered dramatically, then collected Simon at the exit of T13 after a trip across the grass. Overambitious, disastrous, all my fault.

lets see... (goal of in this post: try not to be pessimistic, as i was told)
Start: Poor, went well at first.... and then i tried to avoid 2 cars that couldn't set off and took of my front spoiler.... drove to the whole lap to the pits, found that i could leave earlier then 4 people, thats 4 free places
then i started messing up one corner after another until the front guys caught up, which with Richard behind me i lost focus on driving (was think were i could let him past best) and i out-braked myself and then spun in the last turn, so i slammed it into reverse to get the hell of the racing line, not knowing Richard took the path behind me, almost slamming into him, sorry
then a lot of poor and good laps later after some one got past on the main straight to lap me, i got a tank-slapper after turn 2, couldn't recover it and went into ze wall.. drove to the pits very slowly without a front and rear wing....
and then after a bit of screwing up (including almost taking of my wing with refusing to let David lap me again that easily ) later (around 79% completion).. got again a tank-slapper on the same part, went into the wall again... only this time so hard i broke both wings, a wheel and the engine ending my race
all in all, i'm very annoyed with myself (one hell of a understatement right there) and hope next race goes better

Well that didn't go as expected. At the start I missed the green lights because I had been waiting for the acoustic signal. Other guys appearantly, too so everything jammed up and someone had to swerve into me, giving me a flat tyre. I then spun approaching the hairpin and crashed. Eventhough the Hesketh was quite difficult to drive I think I could have beaten at least some drivers.

Good driving David Jacques on lap 1. Glad we did not connect.
Back wheels never passed the front wheels whole race and I only made minor mistakes so I will chalk this one up as a success. I think 7th gets points, hope so! Saw Vincent and David Jundt park late so I got two vulture passes there passing their dead cars.
On to the next torture test!

3 laps to go, I get my rear left tyre on the grass at the long right hander. I didn't spin it, but went straight way to fast and couldn't save my car from contact with the barriers. Rear left tyre gone, rear wing gone, engine gone = 3 points gone.
I really deserved that result, but didn't nail my line just once and paid dearly for it
Oh well, not like I have a chance at the championship with the Surtees. I guess I'll wait for a chance to score a podium at a difficult track like Monaco.

Well, this is the first victory that doesn't bring much joy. I almost feel a little bad about the car selection. I never expected such dominance. The first laps were massively entertaining, though. And the car was absolutely amazing during the whole run, thanks to Alberto and Jonatan Grats to everybody who made it to the finish

Ouch that sucks.
Please exit to the paddock once you are dead. Remove your car from the track. The yellow flags are a distraction in a BAD place as you demonstrated yourself. You did this at Monaco in 91 F1. Please make today the last time.

Please, no good advice now, I am frustrated enough. I get it, but now's not a good time...
I tried my best to keep up with Richard&Greg, but without mistakes or getting held up I had no chance. Also dropped into battles with Gerard&Jean-Marie which cost me more time.
The Surtees has to be driven nearly all the time at 100%(or more...) to be even close.
Well done on the win Petr, good thing I let you pass soon enough.
The only thing that really surprised me in a positive way was my start. Usually my weak point with historic cars, I flew up the grid.

Started from 28th i lost the Merzario in turn 1, spun and unfortunately hit one of the ATS. My left front suspension was broken and i had to go the pits. After that i had some nice laps with the Merzario and finished 15th in the end. I hope everyone could lap me without problems. It was difficult sometimes, especially at turn 3 to get out of the way.

I said before the race I'd have to rely on attrition to achieve any sort of decent result and that's pretty much what happened, despite me trying to sabotage my own race by spinning off into the scenery half a dozen times

Had a fun race especially at the beginning, until i cam to lap Dylan No offence Dylan but you had plenty of time to let me by, you could have gone wide on corners, lifted off on the straight and moved off the racing line. Just remember don't panic. It does look as though you were trying to hard when i was near you, slow things down slightly and the car will behave better for you
Had some fun battles with Greg, I'm annoyed with myself for my mistake which let you regain 2nd.
Congrats to Petr for his dominating win, i think the scrutineers need to check your car for turbos or something Only joking, you drove great.
Well done to my teammate David too, great job on getting in the points considering how you was driving at the beginning of the week We were the only team to get a double points finish, so i'm sure Ken will be happy with us for that

Thank you very much for picking excellent points to slow when being lapped. I think all the lapped cars did a great job.

Simple. I'm driving it.
Seriously, I think it will be better suited for circuits like Paul Ricard, Monza and the Hock.
