- I checked some races, and a 190 Merc appeared at Varano in the A1 class. I guess as it wasn't a full-time entry, it was not worth creating an update for the car and put it into the A1 class(not to mention creating a skin of a car that has no photo material on it).
That Mercedes was an old 2.3, absolutely uncompetitive against Sport Evos, Alfas and RS500. Adding it in the A1 class would have made no sense. The 2.5 Evo (With wings and wide fenders) was the car that competed in the DTM in those years, but we don't have a 3D model of it (Besides being unhistorical anyway). - Quote :
- I am surprised about none of the Alfas sporting the #5, as seen with the car in the promotional poster, which is Morbidelli at the night race in Misano.
The #5 was already in another skin, and since we were going to paint it and some cars changed the number from one race to another it was not that big problem. We had no time to paint many skins and anyway info about them is very scarce so we picked the more generic ones from other seasons.

| @Alberto: Thanks for the feedback, good work on the cars(I kinda like the Maserati, good handling&sound) I actually spent about 1-2 hours reading trough an Italian forum about the Italian Super Touring Car Championship after I checked touringcarracing.net about the season. http://www.motorforum.it/cronoforum/viewtopic.php?t=2752&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=780 - Giovanni wrote:

However, I can tell you that that team began to take care of the technical preparation and the respective development of the German sedan in question as early as the second half of the '80s, during which time it was mainly used as part of the latest editions of the Giro D' Italy Auto and also in numerous competitions Rallye valid national, in which context, however, was able to get that car sometimes good evidence gaining some competitive performances of relief. However, in contrast with the positive shown in motor racing on the road and in the dirt road, in its rare holdings effectual in the Group A of Tourism tricolor, the Mercedes 190 Team Redolfi showed instead of the significant problems of competitiveness, as a result of which, unfortunately, this car was never really able to fight for the top positions. However, the best result achieved by that Mercedes in racing circuit certainly fù 3rd place in its class (which also corresponded to the fourth position "Absolute") obtained by the Orlando Redolfi in the context of the lively but not crowded race cumulative reserved the three divisions of the Group A of the National Trophy Tourism which took place at the track of Varano Melegari Dé on 12 March 1987. After this similiarly wonky translation to German, I knew this car was privately prepared and entered, so basically not worth thinking about as it wasn't competitive. Same goes for the Team Giudici(Gianni Giudici, an Italian legend in it's own right) prepared 635CSi BMW's, which either didn't start or didn't finish the races they entered(which was at the same event as the Orlando Redolfi Mercedes took part, Varano). Sorry for the long post, looking up racing history is sometimes actually quite interesting

| Man, once again the series will run on the weeks I work late and cannot take part I can only drive the first and the last race in the series, but as the start of a series like this usually is very popular, I have to see if I can at least drive the final in a free car. | |

| You can book a car and then release it after round one if you like. And then jump in a free car at the end of the season. | |

| "scores will be based on the best six (6) results of each driver in the season's 10 races." Hmm, how does this equal to the amount of races? It says 2x*laps* on each circuit? | |

| Simple typo, It should say rounds instead of races. Your best 6 rounds will count.

| Quick question, as I found out that I can't see the M3 Evo when I'm in the car myself. Will adding the M3 Evo file to the base mod cause issues with the normal M3's if I were to take part in future series with the CIS patch installed? | |

You mean the cockpit view? When I tried to enter a test with the M3 Evo it would give me an error and then let me get to the track but the car wasn't visible. Yet to join the server, would adding the M3 Evo file that I neglected to add cause a problem in future series running TCL or is it a "nice" add-on that works no matter what?

| You can add the DTM90 official pack by the TCL team on top of the CIS90 add-on. Our add-on uses different physics files so as not mess with the original TCL mod, but the graphics problem might be solved. So you might solve the graphics problem and get no mismatches in the server. If you get, add again the CIS90 on top of the DTM90 one, that should solve it definitely. | |
