Le prince blanc is a cheater and a thief ! He runs a 3.5L engine when only 3L is allowed and it almost cost Michel Vaillant the championship. But he finally got caught at Monza, phew what a relief !

I wish it was possible to get these in English, I know they translated a couple of them, but they are so hard to find.

I could read them in my childhood because French and Belgium BD were always very popular here, and they were translated i liked the books, and this one was a nice one, and despiste what Guillaume just told, things didn't turn out that bad in the very end for the "White Prince"
But i know at least some of them exist in english Richard, and i believe there are some fan translations on the web.

I lke Michel Vaillant a lot, I have several of these BD at home!
Well, not that hard in Switzerland, they get translated aswell. I own this one too. I just read it again, and guess who wins at Monza?
Always liked the mix of comics(bande desinée) and racing. I also have old comics consisting of several series about racing(It's called Bromm), one of them named "Ron Camaro" and a motorcyclist called "Steve Wheeler" among others.
Now, if there were as many racing themed series in mangas or animes...
I know a few though:
Cyber Formula - Computer Formula Cars and a guy named "Knight Schumacher" Capeta - Poor boy gets into cart racing, advances later into Formula Stella(Which is like Jap F3 or Nippon) "F" - Motori in Pista - Some strange guy on his way to F1 Godamn! - Probably the ONLY anime about Rally Racing, even features REAL cars/sponsors! Arrow Emblem Grand Prix no Taka - Some guy drives some P34-like car in the 70ties or 80ties.
------------ eX Driver - Kids in oldtimers stop haywire gone automatic cars in the future. Initial D - All about drifting up and down mountain passes. HACHI ROKU! Wangan Midnight - All about racing up and down the Wangan motorway. THE DEVIL Z! Riding Bean - A transporter like guy and his own modified car. Gunsmith Cats - Gangster/Police Story with many nice cars, for example Mustang GT 500 and Cobra!

Countach - As it says. A guy gets to own his childhood dream car, the LP400. Kanojo no Carrera - A girl without any interest in cars receives the Carrera of her deceased father. Over Rev! - Basically the girl version of Initial D, with the car being a Toyota MR2, the cheapest midship sportcar back in the days.
There are also mangakas that are big fans of cars&bikes. The creator of "You're under Arrest!" and "Oh! My Goddess!" loves to include cars and motorcycles. He was also involved with éX Driver.
The first series had a story about fake McLaren-Honda cylinders. Oh! My Goddess! had several vehicles in the manga, for example the Brough Superior, a Mini, Ferrari or the futuristic Krauser Domani: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krauser_Domani
The main character drives a BMW sidecar that resembles this one: http://www12.plala.or.jp/bmwmotorcycle/bmwren.html
Here are some cars from "Goddamn": http://www.imcdb.org/movie_1004516309-Goddamn.html
And our French friends would probably love "Arni Cassecou":

You are right about Oh! My Goddess!
André Franquin always designed very well cars in Spirou as well
Here is the best motoring racing inspired on Circuit no Okami, altough i think they took it easy with some cars

In that video, are these drivers from Super GT and Super Formula? They can't just be some wannabe drivers.
The poor Europe at the front Although it takes the corners with it's light weight so quickly that some of the supercars can't follow it at Sugo
I don't know how they got a Miura though, that car is expensive, if they'd break it, who'd be able to pay for it?
Oh!(or Ah!) My Goddess! ran for such a long time, they changed the cars that were in manga&anime, as the anime series came out quite a lot later.
The manga showed, apart from the Mini, a Fiat 500, and there were the cars of two very rich kids:
http://mangafox.me/manga/ah_my_goddess/v01/c005/11.html - BMW 635i http://mangafox.me/manga/ah_my_goddess/v03/c020/17.html http://mangafox.me/manga/ah_my_goddess/v03/c020/18.html - Ferrari 288 GTO
In the anime, both cars were replaced by a Mercedes SLS McLaren and a Ferrari Enzo!
And then, there was this monstrosity: http://mangafox.me/manga/ah_my_goddess/v03/c023/4.html
Even the Shinden airplane gets a chapter: http://mangafox.me/manga/ah_my_goddess/v04/c024/3.html http://mangafox.me/manga/ah_my_goddess/v04/c024/6.html - Probably a Porsche 928 in the background...
More facts:
Sailor Moon featured a sportscar that looked like a Toyota 2000 GT.
Neo Genesis Evangelion featured Lotus Elan, Mazda Cosmo Sport and Renault Alpine A310.
éX Driver features cars such as Lotus Europe, Caterham Super Seven and Lancia Stratos.

Ah and i remember a Renault 5 turbo in dragonball anime
These drivers in best Motoring are some of the best in japan. The guy in green is none other than the "drift king" himself, Keiichi Tsuchiya! The old man is Motoharu Kurosawa, the famous "gan san" , and various of the others are indeed Super GT, Formula nippon, and other categories racers.
I reckon they got the cars from Japanese collectors, with some healthy insurance to cover it. Shame this car show is no more
