The 1st HSO fun night summer 2015

For this first summer HSO fun night we shall be using the 1.96 version of the Historic GT&TC mod by the HistoriX mod team.

Event Schedule

Sunday July 12th
We will start the evening at 19:30 CET

Race 1
19:30 - Free Practice 1
19:50 - Qualifying 1 (10 mins, Unlimited laps)
20:00 - Race 1 (30 mins)

20:30 - Free Practice 2
20:50 - Qualifying 2 (10 mins, Unlimited laps)
21:00 - Race 2 (30 mins)

21:30 - Free Practice 3
21:50 - Qualifying 3 (10 mins, Unlimited laps)
22:00 - Race 3 (30 mins)


There is no entry list as the night is basically just arrive and drive any car of your choice from the car list we have selected.

We shall be using the GTTC A3 category, So any car in that category you can use it.
Here is a list of the cars available, You can choose any car skin.

Behaviour on track

- as for all HSO races, it is required you use your real name both in-game and on the forum. Thank you.

- Chatting is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in race session. It is allowed in qualifying sessions for technical issues only.

- Drive Through : If a driver has to do a drive through, even if there is no pit lane speed limit, he has to drive through the pitlane at 100km/h max (60mph). If he doesn't respect this, he will get a 30s penalty at the end of the race.

- Shortcuts : If a driver gains a position after shortcutting a turn, he is required to give it back as soon as possible. In the case where a driver would not do it rapidly, a 30-second penalty will be added to his total race time. In the event of abusive and intentional shortcutting, severe sanctions will be applied (up to definitive a ban from the league). To make sure you never shortcut a turn, try to always keep two wheels on the track.

- Respect the red light at the end of the pitlane.

Application and Interpretation of the Regulations

The admins alone are qualified to solve any problems raised by the application and the interpretation of the present regulations.

This event is purely about having fun
Your HSO statistics will not be affected in anyway.
There will be no hotlaps screens as this is about a relaxed evening of fun and enjoyment and not serious competition.

@ David, That's not a problem, 1 race is better than none. As it says a server is running with Sandown Park loaded. From Wednesday evening though the tracks we are using will be on the server.

Brave man. Just drove it a bit. Fast but feels like it is on ice.

TVR was the first one I tried, then the Cobra. Both are, as you say, a handful. I find the E type a lot more forgiving.

I tried versions 1.95 without buying GTL. Almost all cars are slow and boring, the roadholding very precarious, the noise of cars resemble mosquitoes. I uninstalled after an hour of practice. After I recovered the version 1.9 and I found it much better, the presentation screen is very accurate and in any case the cars are driveable. Although I did not do great trials, I prefer the old version.

You can try the 1.96, that's the one that we'll use.

Just a note, You can use 3 different cars for the 3 races if you want too. No pressure to stick in one car.

Try driving the cars mentioned for this series of races. I assure you it is a mostly mosquito free list of cars. The older Ferraris do buzz a bit. The TVR, Corvette and Shelby for sure do not buzz.

I should be able to make Races 1 and 2, will decide at the time if I'll also stay for R3.

R3 will depend on the track/car combo as well as how tired I am (since I start early on Monday I might need an "early" night).

So the voting has closed.

The winning tracks are Mosport, Longford and Riverside Nascar.

I just Riverside out of the tied 3rd place tracks purely because it's higher in the list.

Will update the tracks tonight and post D/L links.
