was a fun first race! after the confusion of the start i got going quite well in 11th, then i may have out-braked myself and spun Alan's Volvo around (sorry!). Suddenly a wild Mustang appeared pointing against a wall (i think), and i got up into 10th but Janatan caught up to me quite easily and when he out-dragged me i kept up in the corners but he slowed me down and then just Fired of in the distance every strait, and later on i out braked myself massively firing me into a Barrier and spinning me around which meant Mick came by, and that's that... there was the Checkered Flag :flag:

Race 2..... well i had the cursed 12th spot and had the faith of Jef so i spectated most of it... Crying or Very sad

Hope next time we don't have a Bugged track!

Apologies to Richard Wilks. I'm so confused by the multi bumps I did. Too nervous, I prefered Esc.
Still a fail on a loving track. Crying or Very sad

2x :second:

Did not expect to be so competitive here but the Alfa went great. So lucky that the timer went to zero seconds in race 2 JUST before JP crossed the line...was almost out of fuel and could not have run another lap :rigol:

I had to brake, otherwise I'd have crossed the line at 24'59 on the timer  You saved yourself by having to give me space.

Another 8th place for me on agregate. Not bad, but could have been better. I messed both starts due to the absence of the lights  Sad

The first race was a kind of lonely affair, i got isolated, and i couldn't catch the ones in front, but i was faster than the ones in the back.

In the second race i decided to change my tires. BAD idea Evil or Very Mad  i struggled for grip the whole race, and two rear bump induced spins didnt help my cause. I reckon i could have finished higher, but i was relieved to even finish the race at all. I can't seem to gel so well with the alfa, but i keep trying to be as much consistent as i can :yaa:  :conduit:

PS: Its ok Ben, we all have a bad day :drink:

That was a difficult couple of races... A lot of hard work, big scares and general good street racing fun Twisted Evil

Qualifying

Went out on the track and found myself having practiced on the more modern layout which is slightly different, struggled to get a resonable lap together because of massive understeer.

Made some changes to the car and it seemed to work as it became more managable, although craving much more throttle modulation.

Race1 got underway and got a good launch compared to everyone else because of my tendency to use the HUD for the starts (I'm sort of considering it a "team radio" kind of start to make it more viable realisticly seen).

Through this I could gain a few positions and then found my way past those having even more trouble in the opening laps to be close, if not even in, the top 10 after a couple of laps.

Was in a sort of no-mans-land with a good few seconds to the guys ahead and a few seconds to those behind but that all changed when Richard made a misstake (I assume) and span coming out of T2 and I was looking to poke the heavy Mustang up the inside but his turbo span up so I, maybe did, almost hit him up the rear and got held up a lot so lost out to Richard W (I think it was) and then tried to hard through the 1st chicane and span when the car bottomed out while being sideways.

Managed to get going after having let 3 guys past, among them Dylan.
Put my head down and drove the wheels of the car, thankfully I had no damage from the spin as I didn't hit anything neither got hit, usually I'd have gotten hit my someone going by looking at my previous history in similar situations, thank you everyone for respecting the yellow flag Smile

Managed to catch Dylan, who was even more sideways than me, after a couple of laps and managed to find my way by up the hill going towards T2.
Had to drive really well to keep Dylan behind me who were driving really well even with his worn tires but in the end he made a misstake and I could concentrate on trying to keep up with Matthias which I managed to do but never really got close enough to try anything.

A top10 finish was more than I could have hoped for, managed to point in the right direction for most of the race, in other words a few degrees towards the inside of the corners, so very happy with that one Very Happy

Race2 got underway and I was boxed in on the outside of the circuit so took it very easy and managed to survive the opening laps and just tried to hook onto the rear of the leading group, closest ahead was Richard.

Sadly, a few laps in, he made a tiny error in the second chicane and found the outside wall leading to a massive crash, sorry for hitting you mate but I was hoping to slip by on the "inside" Sad
Also sorry for the half launch going into T1 earlier on the same lap. I was thinking that I had a run, maybe I can outdrag him but realized that there were no way for us to survive that first corner had I gone for it.

Was again in a bit of a no-mans-land post that incident and just tried to drive the car as quickly as I could while still saving the tires, leading to many near misses and scrapes with the walls when I tried to straighten the corners as much as I dared :aie:

Had one massive moment in the long left after the 1st chicane when I carried a bit too much speed, got loose and then lost it on the sidewalk bit on the outside sending me into the barriers. Luckily I had no puncture and the car felt more or less fine, a tad bit of steering damage I think but otherwhise ok. It's a sturdy car this 'Stang of mine Twisted Evil

For the last few laps I had Matthias catching up with me though while also finding a way past Jose who, I think, outbraked himself going into T1 since there were tiremarks there when I came around.
Also thank you to those being lapped that I came across, very nice and kind driving from you all, very obvious when and where you wanted us to go by :top:

Luckily for me Jef caught up with Matthias so I could take it sort of easier and bring the Mustang home in P5, I don't think anyone, not myself either, expected a top5 from the Mustang on this tight and twisty track :hihi: :champ:

Richard, s*** happens, not even if you check the track many many times over could be sure to know of every little thing that can happen on it. You did well on trying to solve it and keeping everyone informed Smile

Thank you for the event and for the fun, that rally-driving stuff was a lot of fun, I think I need to fire up RBR for the first time in a while just to drive an RWD and have some more fun :aie:
Take care everyone and see you all in the next round :drink:

Thank You my Pit Crew for showing me "this pit spot" and puting me back to dead last at the Start with DQ from P8 :-( :grrr:

So P6 at the end is quite good for me, especially when my left front was cooking at 140° C at most time of the race.

In the second Race i changed from very hards to hards, wich gained me some time, but i couldnt holt jef at the end. Amazing speed Jef, bad luck for you not starting at the first race.
