| Nice evening, nice fights, somewhat brutal and sometimes ugly, but I had great fun ! I was good until I got run over by Greg, losing 7-8 positions and all the benefit of my fierce race (but no problem Greg, already forgotten, et merci de m'avoir attendu!) I'm unhappy my Mustang is so fast, because everyone will hate me before the end of this championship Next stop for me: Montlhéry ! | |

) Bon, allez, pages jaunes.... préparateur moteur Alfa, voyons, voyons....

I thought, that it will be an easy job to catch him. But for some reason, it was really hard to kill that gap.
I think he was waiting for you, so he could have some battle at the top, but you didn't catch up quick enough. Probably too short race Don't do that slow qualy again when he is on the grid, you will not see him again in the race For me it was a nice evening, wrestling around my R5. Decided to race with a safer (And slower) setup and while sometimes I regretted it, overall on the long run it was the right decission with a difficult car like this. The beginning was quite fun, the R5 shoots from standing as if thrown from a catapult and I got to the middle of the field even if not pushing it too much in the busy grid (Left tires on the grass but two on the road ), then I let the quicker people go by without blocking and waited for someone who was in my rythm. There was some fun demolition derby with 635s at the back, and avoiding one that was rejoining the track I went out briefly and lost the pack (Sorry for crossing in front of you François, I relaxed the wheel grip to avoid the car entering the track and it shot out - The Maxi is a beast). Then I had some fun with Carl and many laps at the end on a great fight with François Beçancon. Truly a gentleman driver many thanks! The Maxi is slow and hard to drive, but when you get it right and have someone in similar times, it is a delight.

Merci ! _________________ Thou shalt not train.

_________________ O.K. Just a little pinprick. There'll be no more aaaaaaaaah!

| I didn't quite leave enough room for Jean-Francois' Mustang in the last turn and hit him in the door and went wide onto the grass at the exit. I was eager to get the power on, got the tail out and over-corrected into the wall | |

| Yes and as a general rule we'd appreciate if everybody ran 100% all the time. We're not too found of drivers qualifying on purpose way behind their level just for the fun of it, as it's always on the wrong side of arrogance, really. Just come and do your best, it's the least we can expect from a true gentleman driver. _________________ Thou shalt not train.

Sorry if I caused any problem with my fake qualy run. Most of my overtakes were clean and fair, so I hope it was not that serious. Of course, next time I do my best on the qualy lap too. _________________ "When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting." | Well.... Now that I've had the time to cool down and I can't fall asleep I'll get this done as it was a very fun race, hectic, but fun Practice and Qualifying: I had very little time to practice due to school taking up a lot of time for me but was still pretty happy with the race pace that I could get out of the BMW, was just hoping that I'd do an allright run in Qualy. Sadly this was not the case as, when I did what I had done all the previous Race Laps I had done in practice, the car understeered so I found myself out in the grass between Turn 1 and 2 and promptly span it when I tried to keep the foot on the throttle So, last on the grid, could only get better from there Race: The grid was very interesting, very Bathurst-esk as it was very tight and it was sort of zig-zag like in the pattern... Anyway, got a resonable start and managed to outstart the guys around me (sorry for the slight hit Alan, tried to squeeze between you and the wall, wasn't quite able to do so ). Got up a few places, was very cautious on the opening laps and found myself in the low 20's by the end of Lap 2. Cruised around for a few laps trying to keep the pace up and had a couple of small fights along the way and then came across Yannick having caught him and a couple of others, sorry but I can't remember who, which we both passed and then had a big battle over 15th or so place. Yannick was slower in the quick corners whereas he was very good on the brakes going into Turn 3 (the hairpin after the long straight) and it took me many atempts, and two let-by's after failed ones, until I finally managed to sneak up the inside at the T3 and got a resonable run out of the corner with a bit of sideways action (sorry if that forced you to back off Yannick) and also, thank you very much for a very enjoyable battle, sorry for the contact that was made, not proud of myself for all of that I now set out to catch Dave, Steve and, I think, Matthias who was having a nice battle in the edges of the top 10. (possibly someone else was in the fight but I, sadly, can't remember, there were so much going on in the race ) With a handful of laps to go I finally managed to catch up due to their battling and I could hook onto and take advantage of it by running around the outside at the last turn and got by Steve by doing so. I then had the tiny bit of luck, or something like that but I'd have preffered to have a fight, Dave and Matthias came together at T3 and I could sneak up the inside and go by. After this I could pull out a small gap and was on the way of catching Jacob but I ran out of time In the end I managed to finish in 8th place, surprised that I managed to climb that far up the grid from where I started Thank you to everyone I had a battle with at any point in the race, organization and so on, it was very enjoyable to spend the evening racing with you all again and having some awesome scraps _________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]2019 | 1996 British Touring Car Championship [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]2019 | 1995 Super Tourenwagen Cup [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]If you are scared entering a corner, you are pushing to hard, if you are bored entering a corner, you aren't pushing enough, if you hit it perfectly, it will be better than love

Would have been a great race otherwise, had a good qualifying lap by my standards and a really intense touring car race for 34 out of 35 mins.
Think i'm starting to finally get the hang of the Rover so looking forward to the next one to try and get it right No problem m8,it cost us both a top 10 finish,i had usual bad start with the escort which does not want to leave the start line, was down in 17th by turn 1 managed to claw my way up to 8th after some great battles on way, still managed one point for the escort

I won't do that again. I will push it on 100% next time. Or choose a slower car next time. Yeah. Unfortunately I don't have a car in this championship, so everything will depend on who will miss the following rounds.
