| Is this race a standing start? Oh and what is the difference between tire compounds? | |

| Tire Compounds I think I can answer, I'll let the admins answer the question regarding the start The difference in the tire compounds is how long they last combined with their grip over the run you do. As an example: The Softs is is mostly meant as a Qualy tire as they get heated up easily and therefore quickly get to their best working temerature. The problem with them is that they don't last that long when they reach that temp or, even more so on a track like this, goes over. The mediums has a middle of the road feel to them. With the lighter cars they don't heat up that quickly and are quite resiliant if you overheat them. They have resonable grip for a resonable time and you will feel when these tires begin to go. The Hards are best for a long run. In the lighter cars you might even be able to do the whole race on one set and only go for a fuel stop, saving yourself, possibly, seconds as others might have to take tires as well as fuel. They don't heat up easily and, if you overheat them, they will last quite a while before they go. You won't have the same grip as the other tires in the beginning but they do come good after a while. The problem with them is that they "fall of the cliff suddenly" so to speak. Unless you have experience with the Hards it might feel like they just suddenly died. As an example, I would go with mediums all round and, possibly, only fuel if I could get the tires to last. With the RS500, which spins its wheels up easier and is a bit heavier, and therefore use the tires more, I will be going with a Medium Front, Hard Rear combination I think as that will help me get the most out of the car for the longest possible time. I hope this clears up the tires a bit more Austin | |

| Yes thank you jonatan. I know how they behave in REAL life , just wasn't shure how the sim reacted to the compounds, or if it was accurate. Thanx again | |
