Race Start Procedure

--> Reconnaissance Laps <--

Behaviour on track

- as for all HSO races, it is required you use your real name both in-game and on the forum. Thank you.

- Chatting is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in race session. It is allowed in qualifying sessions for technical issues only.

- Drive Through : If a driver has to do a drive through, even if there is no pit lane speed limit, he has to drive through the pitlane at 100km/h max (60mph). If he doesn't respect this, he will get a 30s penalty at the end of the race.

- Shortcuts : If a driver gains a position after shortcutting a turn, he is required to give it back as soon as possible. In the case where a driver would not do it rapidly, a 30-second penalty will be added to his total race time. In the event of abusive and intentional shortcutting, severe sanctions will be applied (up to definitive a ban from the league). To make sure you never shortcut a turn, try to always keep two wheels on the track.

- Respect the red light at the end of the pitlane.

Application and Interpretation of the Regulations

The admins alone are qualified to solve any problems raised by the application and the interpretation of the present regulations.

Please book a car even if it is a one off for this race on the entry list page.

For anyone wondering, we start at 6:30PM CST when IMSA is also running (or another HSO event occurs earlier) vs 6PM CST when no other event is happening. This gives the admins time to pull their results and update their race before I start the SCCA admin work. It also gives me time to recover from the other race becasue I likely ran in it  :D

Watch the guard rails here. They bite!!  :aie:

Well I see your IMSA time with the BMW and must say I am staring at it in awe!  affraid

For some reason this version of Laguna Seca the laps seem to go by very fast. Unfortunately, I have already found 5 excellent places where you can snap spin off track into the abiss of no return. The Escort snaps nastily on the main straight at the left kink.

The track was slowed down by the modifications introduced later, you can see that the laptimes are almost the same today with much quicker cars. If you pick the excellent modern version of the track by Com8 you will notice the differences.

The modern track is amazing, i have had a couple track days there. The game does no justice for the corkscrew when your really flying up the hill near 100 mph and you cant see the corkscrew at all just a wall in front of you affraid  you kind of piss your pants a little the first lap  lol!

Hum, what typo?  :hum:

The only I can think of would be if you wanted to write in spanish (As it was originally) the name of the track's location, which then would be with doube "r" (Monterrey). But once the US guys got hold of it, they gave it that barbaric and unmusical name of "Monterey" :langue:

so my problem is with mirrors on my fps is terrible, especially at the stat/finish line and at the cork screw, even with the lowest graphic settings

with mirrors turned off i have the regular high fps like every other mod, graphics settings almost everything full. Any help with mirrors details?

strange thing is that this happens with this track. I tested some other track and it is all normal

Leo is it the realistic mirrors or the 3 mirrors you get from TV camera (over the car) view? I use the over the car view and have no FPS issues with mirrors.

It may be your car detail if this is in car mirrors. Try turning down car detail. I am guessing.

It's a 3 year old update of a GPL conversion. A track that's pretty much empty, and nobody else complained.
Seeing that you usually run with settings "almost everything full" tells that your hardware must be outdated. Nothing we can do really :smil20:

I use in cockpit view Mike.

I asked because there is some rear view mirrors settings in plr file and thought someone would know something about it.

Almost everything full graphics means only shadow blur turned off.

I'll work those plr settings to see what happens. I will be present anyway  :conduit:
