Dick Trickle? you guys are too damn smart lol. Dick Trickle was rookie of the year in 1989 at the age of 48 years old. He never won a Winston cup race, but he had 5 3rd place finishes, 14 top 5 finishes and 32 top 10 finishes. All this was after having raced for 31 years in short track racing, and although it can't be verified, he is said to have won over 1200 feature races.

| I've got a question I don't know the answer to, so points to anyone who can enlighten me: Leo Kinnunen was the fastest ever around Targa Florio at 33 minutes and 36 seconds. Why is the lap record credited to Helmut Marko at 33:41? | |

| Perhaps Leo's time was set in qualifying or practice? Lap records must be set in races, unless it was different back then. | |

| As far as I know, it was Pedro Rodriguez who qualified the car and Leo set that lap in the race. | |

| So it seems, He set it on the last lap in 1969, Marko was in 72, so did car regulations change and ask for new records or did the track length? Other than that I'm struggling. | |

| Engines were limited to three liters starting in 1972, would they have flushed old records then? Although, Kinnunen's Porsche also had a three-liter engine... | |

| To quote Wiki,
"In 1972 the Group 6 Prototype and Group 5 Sports Car classes were both replaced by a new Group 5 Sports Car class. These cars were limited to 3.0 L engines by the FIA (a move that some cynics believed was made to benefit the French Matra team), and manufacturers gradually lost interest."
So new set of rules, I'm guessing new record.

| It's not a question for the game, but to be sure about a model of car. What is the Porsche used in Porsche Supercup in 1993. I tried to look for a blueprints but I'm not sure about model, 911 964 RS 3.8? | |

| Ok thanks, Alberto. I go to re-take a look for a blueprint about 964. P.S : I crossed that car on the road this afternoon, the sound was so amazing, and the smoke from exhaust pot was too. http://legendary-rides.com/1975-monza.html | |

Was it Rick Mears? Believe he had hurt or broke his right leg/foot earlier in a crash and wasn't fully recovered. |

| Damn you guys are really wise Yes it was Mears in 1991 After getting the pole he had a heavy crash and totalled his car as well as his right foot. He entered the race in the spare car and the pain in his right ankle was so much that he simply left it resting over the gas pedal and placed the left over the right one, using his left leg/foot to press it down to the metal. An amazing feat | |

| OK so here's another one for you US racing fans ... some time ago we all laughed when Montoya slammed his stock car against the rear of a safety vehicle/truck, but he wasn't the first to do so. Some years prior, someone also managed to slam the rear of a safety truck with his Indycar and bring the race to a halt for 45 minutes due to the mess caused (It was a street circuit).
Do you know who it was?
